As much as I love the elriel content in the bonus chapter at this point I truly wish non of the chapters existed.

Azriel’s, especially, has been WAY over prioritized in comparison to the actual, released to everyone, book. But this includes the bonus chapters in the Crescent city too.

People don’t even look to the books anymore, they are solely focused on the bonus chapters which are just meant as a fun little peak into the lives of our favorite character and to further allude to their story. Not entirely change the character’s story trajectory.

Also the fact that people are so obsessed with it and only a small percentage of overall readers have actually read it makes it worse. 80% of readers have no idea what people are talking about when they reference the bonus chapters.

If Az’s BC didn’t exist this entire ship war would be a little blip in the last few years not the main damn arguement.

I just wanted to say… I have gwynriel ship tags blocked for a reason, but not elucien ship tags. Only gwynriel.

I devoured theories and posts from all three ships and I only wound up blocking gwynriel.

People wanna say elriels are toxic but, before I even cemented my ship preference, I was getting bad vibes from the gwynriel side of fandom since the day I stepped into the online community. Actually, gwynriels are what made me not like gwynriel.

but I will say thank you to the gwynriels because they’re the ones who made me realize elriel was endgame. none of their theories or posts made sense to me (unlike elucien which actually does have good points here and there).
