I am Helel bet-Shachar. King of Hell. Vice of Pride. The banished Archangel, sent to Hell to reign supreme. I am not going to bore you with the details. I would like, first of all, to clear up a few misconceptions about my existence. They bother me.
First of all, I and Satan (his real name, mind you, is Amon bet-Evrah) are not the same individual. We rule 2 separate rings of Hell, much like that avarice-inducing indie series depicts; I rule Pride, and he Wrath. One thing that abysmal distraction of a show also incorrectly promotes is my height. I am seven-foot-nine, not the foolish five-foot-two I am afforded. I despise ducks, and they are likely one of my least favorite of my Father's creations. I haven't any idea why He made them.
Another common misconception is that my name is genuinely "Lucifer". In scripture, the word Lucifer is capitalized, which led to a near half-millennia of fools believing that was genuinely my name. Even more foolish was the implication that my last name be Morningstar, as if the words "Lucifer" and "Morningstar" do not literally have the same meaning. Like my brothers, my name is Hebrew. Shining One, of the House of Dawn. Even then, I have changed it from what it once was. A toddler could very likely see the correlation.
The most profound misconception I have laid eyes upon is that somehow, in some way, I am a sympathetic character. It is odd, how some will look upon me and weep, say that I am to be pitied as a tragic victim of circumstance. They are very wrong. I orchestrated my downfall and subsequent thriving with a master's hand, and I do not regret a second of it. The thrill was unlike any other. After billions of years, it's hard not to feel a sense of overwhelming joy in regard to it.
Regardless, I can tell that I'm boring you. Mortals and their miniature attention spans; they seem to decrease with their lifespans as well. Unfortunate. I am on 'social media' now, and I will likely post infrequently about various events within Hell's boundaries, and answer as many questions as the masses may have about the life of the Devil himself.
