Day 19 Etho

I’m not gonna lie- I used this opportunity to make a better reference for what’s under Etho’s mask in my AU… but I think it turned out pretty cool.

5 more Hermits to go to complete this project- it’s only taken me over 2 months. But like I said- I still want to finish it. The only thing is that art fight starts tomorrow. I will be doing that for the next month.

I will be finishing the last 5 may days in August (maybe one in July if I’m lacking inspiration for art fight)

Only 5 more! I’ll be back to it in August.

Day 18 AU

Corrupted Grian

Since all my Hermits are technically a part of my own AU I decided to do a evil or a corrupted Grian. The colors and corruption idea is loosely inspired by the DDVAU’s Mother Spore design. I was originally going to lean into the mushrooms more but in the end it lean towards eldritch angel with many wings. Plus the watchers.

XBcrafted!

XB is a creator that I don’t know much about overall.I have seen more of him this season as he has taken on his FedXB persona. He seems like a very cool creator.

Remembering this design is just a rough draft, but I thought he would be a perfect sea pony/hippogriff. If you know the GEN four My Little Pony lore, you know that sea ponies and hypogriff are the same and they can change their forms.

XB is usually seen as a guardian hybrid, so that made total sense for the sea pony aspect and then with season 11 XB using his wings to deliver what others need across the server , I thought it was pretty much perfect for a hippogriff as well. It just made sense to me! So hopefully it reads as XB. I quite like the colors.

Outfit Swap.

of course, my versions of the characters don’t have outfits so I swap the species. Zed being the goofy prankster he is, has created a temporary potion to swap their species. He is now a Kirin and tango is a sheep.

Day 13!

So my computer pen broke… it was pretty old so I’m not surprised but let me tell you. I’m borrowing a brand new pen from a friend and it’s completely screwed up my workflow and settings. I was so used to my crummy, worn down pen that now I’m all over the place. Right in time for Art fight too. Figures.

But hey, I got another drawing down. I’m determined to finish this project even if it takes me another two months.

Hermit-a-day May Day 12! (In June) pearlescentmoon!

OK, so I never done a design for pearl. Her designer is always intimidated me. I had a couple different color directions. Honestly I still don’t know still version of like and her design in the au is subject to change anyway but I would love input on which version is best. Or maybe her coat could change at different times for lore reasons… idk-

but I have always known that I wanted to base her off 5am pearl and make her a bat pony -which I know might be controversial.

But there’s a couple reasons why. One of the big ones is that she doesn’t strike me as a diamond dog. I know in a lot of My Little Pony fan workers there’s werewolves or Timberwolf variances, but that didn’t vibe with me. I like the idea of her connection with the moon being with vampires. Along with that, in a lot of vampire lore, they have dominion over wolves, which I think would be a good connection to tie in Tilly. In this AU she is an ex cult member. She was the assassin for the cult. Edgy I know. I have my reasons. Her name in the au would probably something like Scarlet Crescent, or Crimson moon or some combination of the two. If you want, I love feedback.

The final day has come and is nearly gone. It has been great. I missed about two weeks due to work but my goal is to finish my missing Hermits in June. I’m rather proud of how many hermits I did manage to complete even if it was only half. It really was a great opportunity to practice and it forced me to draw some her. I’ve been avoiding because I’m so intimidated by their designs. It also gave me the opportunity to draw hermits that I don’t draw very often. Overall i’m happy with what I’ve accomplished.

I swear he gets scruffier each time I draw him.

I love his mossy neck scruff. I had to cut down his glorious mane to fit it on this piece in my limited amount of time. But I finished before midnight and I count that as a win.
