You should not be saying herm if you are not intersex for any reason. No exceptions, no "but it makes sense here for this species!" It's a slur. It has always been a slur. You are not as educated on intersex issues as you think. Ffs

I do not ask intrusive questions to make sure they're "qualified" to use said pronouns and labels, because that is none of my business and a dangerous slope.
