R.I.P. Roman
R.I.P. Roman og tak for alting 🇵🇱🇩🇰 #Polen #Danmark #Polsk #Dania #RomanSmigielski #Poland #Denmark #Solidarnosc #LechWalesa #InformatorPolski #Polennu #Polowizja #Polonia #PolskDanskForening
Inhun/457 has taken over my brain. I mean they both went back to the games because they each could no longer function out in the real world and try to move on. Neither of them could ever get on that metaphorical plane. They are both stuck trying to make sense of the trauma the game put them through. Neither of them can move on with their lives, stuck in the eternal hell of the games. Except In Ho's way of processing the game is to turn into a unfeeling, calculating survivor. He facilitates the games because his takeaway from those games is his glimpses into the very worst of humanity. At first, he mocks Gi Hun. He stays obsessed with him though. He's obsessed with Gi Hun and fascinated by him because he is determined to hold onto the very best of humanity brought out even despite the brutality and tragedy of these games. He focuses on the strong emotional bonds that people are capable of making even in those games, even when it's unwise. He never forgets the huge sacrifices people make for one another even in this awful place. He's determined to save as many people as possible. He's stuck in these games just the same way that In Ho is, except Gi Hun is all the more admirable for keeping his love for his fellow man despite the bucket they've been forced to clamber over one another in like crabs.
I think at this point, after In Ho has found his twin flame- his ultimate fascination- he'd rather die than have to live without Gi Hun. It's the perfect Stockholm syndrome set-up cause he knows exactly what it's like for Gi Hun. They are stuck and haunted. Gi Hun can't help but feel that In Ho can understand him in fucked up, deep ways that no one else can. In Ho is the only one who can understand Gi Hun's darkest memories.
[ the way he looks at him ]
