Victims of Abuse

Hello there! 19 year old second year Psychology and Law student here. :) So here's the thing: I was brought up in an abusive household. There are a lot of resources, laws, and other things I could have done to protect myself that I didn't know about at the time. This blog is somewhere where you can talk, ask advice, or get information. If you're in a bad situation, you can leave the general information with me, as well as your country/state/province. I will find resources in your area to assist you. Or, if you just want somebody to speak with, I'm here for that too. This is for /anybody/ who is suffering. Whether verbal/psychological/physical abuse, neglect, domestic abuse, etc. Children, or adults. I am encouraging you to stay safe, and keep hope. You will get through this. -Ana

Do not ground your child because you caught them putting a cigarette flame to their wrist.

Do not discipline your child because they have cuts on their thighs.

Do not threaten to put your child in a mental institution because their only escape is self-harm.

Do not teach your children that if they open up to you about the scars on their bodies, the only thing they will get in return is punishment.
