Happy Pride!

Please can anyone help a queer household, with two people of color, pay bills so we can squish our main money to make rent! We all would like to avoid a world we we have to be returned to transphobic or outright unsafe parent households.

We have a month of rent, and while we are working on plans and reaching out to housing help, any help to pay side bills so main checks can be saved would be appreciated.

❤️ Ohhh their relationship is so fun. Scout is super insecure and sensitive most of the time, but is also the lovey dovey affectionate type, and Kaboodle is… Well, himself. But just because he’s emotionally constipated doesn’t mean he can’t be empathetic, so he knows how to make Scout happy and calm them down. He even pulls out their favorite teddy to ease their pain a bit.

They really do love each other :D but as of the pilot they aren’t in an official relationship yet. The drawing of them where he says “god I need her carnally”? That’s them. Scout always feels like she isn’t enough for him, but Kaboodle fucking adores her, he just doesn’t have the guts to say it like that.

They make a good team too! Scout is the spy of the group, and can get around pretty discreetly while using their senses for help. And Kaboodle is a backpack with extendable(?) arms, so he has the tools she needs on hand to get.

Sometimes, Scout will get a big burst of confidence and tenacity when going on missions or when Syntax is on their ass, causing her to flip a switch and become a crazy more confident version of themself. This makes Kaboodle beyond happy, but also feels the need to keep her on a leash, so to speak. Lest she gets too in over her head.

🎆 Dates!! Unfortunately there aren’t many places or good times to have “totally not romantic dates” as they’re always on the move or working, but back on their planet they would always spend the nights stargazing… They’d both point out the constellations and planets in the sky, and Scout would chart them in one of her sketchbooks. Kaboodle especially loved to point them out and learn more about astronomy, because Scout’s eyes would always light up when she got the opportunity to chart more stars.

Oh yeah, Scout is into astronomy too. They got Kaboodle into it as a result :3

Post game-win though, they would always try to find time stargazing at Farcade HQ or wherever their home base is. Although it’s not quite the same, Scout at least tries to make a positive difference out of it saying “At least there’s more to work with.”

When they aren’t doing that, Scout tries teaching Kaboodle how to draw, to his frustration because he can’t get it right lol. But like I said, not much to do for dates outside of talking and stuff I mentioned before :( Unless there’s more shown in the show about Farcade HQ that I can work off of. That’s about all I can come up with.

I loved renting physical copies of my favorite movies when blockbuster was still a thing. but I think there’s a difference between renting a specific something where you’re expected to only pay them once unless you want to rent it again, and subscribing to shit that unless you manually cancel your membership will just keep feeding off your money indefinitely

I saw this video earlier today talking about how Sometimes You Are Not The Person To Do An Intervention and discussed how EDs and addictions thrive on shame. interventions done poorly or from people who don't have that type of relationship can do more harm than good because it just tells the person struggling "your problems are so obvious to everyone around you and you need to hide them better."

interventions are something that need to be done delicately by people who have a close & trusting relationship. they should be done 1 on 1 or in a very small group of people so the person struggling doesn't feel ganged up on.

if you don't have that close & trusting relationship or you can't bring it up delicately then it's best to just not comment. let that person come to you. create a safe environment where the person struggling feels comfortable talking. make space in conversations for them to open up. that is how you help- not by producing more shame.
