“what if we just idnt show up?” Liliana joked. “I had to fail a good number of students and I know for a fact they will be with me again.” She groaned. “Im not ready for the hostility.”
“I would leave but I have no home here other than Ilvermorny,” Victor said with a sigh. “You’ll get used to it, they always get over it.”
octaviabaldwin:
“Is it not supposed to be cold?”
“Not in the greenhouse.” Victor checked the sealing on the panes of glass. “It’s supposed to be controlled.”
“Ugh, I don’t want the students to come back. I wish they’d all stay away where they belong.”
@lilianalloyd-rp
“There’s something wrong.” Victor puttered around the greenhouse. “It’s cold.”

wilheminataylor:
“Dying isn’t dead,” Willa pointed out. “Where they’re still life, there’s hope.”
“Well, some things you need to let die. Death spreads. Let it die, it will be fine. But keep trying to save it, and disease will spread and kill everything.”
cassandrasingleton:
“Yes, I rather thought it might be. No one ever said you were overly sympathetic.”
“I’m sympathetic to my plants. And my goddaughter. Do I need to have any more sympathy?”
charmedeprince:
Andi thanked his lucky stars that Victor had come along when he had. “Sure. Duty calls.” He said to the first years as a ‘goodbye’ before following Victor away from them. “Thank you so much. I owe you one, big time.”
“Any time, Andi.” Victor chuckled. "I am glad I was able to save you from a fate of giggling first years.” Once they were securely in the hallway, he pulled out a joint and a lighter. “Want a hit?”
wilheminataylor:
“I wouldn’t give up on it just yet,” said Willa.
“Have fun, then. I already looked at it and it’s dying. Some things just need to go. It’s the way the world works.”
octaviabaldwin:
“Then I guess we can make sure you’re not the Santa Claus at the mall,” she replied. “Can you imagine all the kids you’d have to talk to?”
“I would never do such a thing.” Victor chuckled. “I like kids, just...from a distance. Except for my goddaughter. I love her to bits.”
wilheminataylor:
“I’m an herbologist,” Willa said without looking up. “So this is my area of expertise.”
“So am I. But I know enough to know that that tree is beyond our help.” Victor shrugged.
ezekielsimmons:
“You go and have a baby and suddenly no one wants to see you anymore, it’s always - where’s my goddaughter? Where’s my granddaughter?” Zeke pretended to complain, laughing. “She’s not quite at the winter gala stage yet in her upbringing.”
“You’re cute, but not that cute. I’m sorry about that, Ezekiel.” Victor teased. “Right, right. She’s too young for fun.”
octaviabaldwin:
Octavia let out a small laugh. “Well, like I said last year, definitely, though I think if I let my kid sit on your lap, she’d stop believing in Santa.”
“I respect you enough to ask you to please not let your child sit on my lap.” Victor barked out a laugh. “For her sake, your sake, and mine.”
cassandrasingleton:
“Because you know I get no say in whether or not I chaperone and you wanted to save me from dying of boredom,” Cass retorted with a laugh. “Or, more likely, you enjoy watching me suffer.”
“Right, right. Because I love you so much.” Victor rolled his eyes. “The second option seems more accurate.”
wilheminataylor:
Willa frowned, wondering how the man could be so nonchalant about it, but dismissed it. She turned her focus back to the tree. Bending down, she started studying the ground around it, trying to see if there was something in the soil that was the problem.
Victor watched the woman inspect the tree. “Are you working right now, or are sick trees just a passion of yours?”
ezekielsimmons:
“You see me cry all the time.” Zeke said, glancing around casually as if they were talking about the weather. Although he knew Victor would see straight through his teasing. “You make me cry all the time.”
“Right, because I’m such a mean, horrible, terrible person,” Victor said dramatically. “I always forget how terrible I am until you bring it up.”
“Do you like the suit?” Victor asked. He was wearing the same one as last year with a Santa hat.
