lilianalloyd-rpâ:
âwhat if we just idnt show up?â Liliana joked. âI had to fail a good number of students and I know for a fact they will be with me again.â She groaned. âIm not ready for the hostility.âÂ
âI would leave but I have no home here other than Ilvermorny,â Victor said with a sigh. âYouâll get used to it, they always get over it.â
octaviabaldwinâ:
âIs it not supposed to be cold?â
âNot in the greenhouse.â Victor checked the sealing on the panes of glass. âItâs supposed to be controlled.â
âUgh, I donât want the students to come back. I wish theyâd all stay away where they belong.â
@lilianalloyd-rp
âThereâs something wrong.â Victor puttered around the greenhouse. âItâs cold.â

wilheminataylorâ:
âDying isnât dead,â Willa pointed out. âWhere theyâre still life, thereâs hope.â
âWell, some things you need to let die. Death spreads. Let it die, it will be fine. But keep trying to save it, and disease will spread and kill everything.â
cassandrasingletonâ:
âYes, I rather thought it might be. No one ever said you were overly sympathetic.â
âIâm sympathetic to my plants. And my goddaughter. Do I need to have any more sympathy?â
charmedeprinceâ:
Andi thanked his lucky stars that Victor had come along when he had. âSure. Duty calls.â He said to the first years as a âgoodbyeâ before following Victor away from them. âThank you so much. I owe you one, big time.â
âAny time, Andi.â Victor chuckled. "I am glad I was able to save you from a fate of giggling first years.â Once they were securely in the hallway, he pulled out a joint and a lighter. âWant a hit?â
wilheminataylorâ:
âI wouldnât give up on it just yet,â said Willa.
âHave fun, then. I already looked at it and itâs dying. Some things just need to go. Itâs the way the world works.â
octaviabaldwinâ:
âThen I guess we can make sure youâre not the Santa Claus at the mall,â she replied. âCan you imagine all the kids youâd have to talk to?â
âI would never do such a thing.â Victor chuckled. âI like kids, just...from a distance. Except for my goddaughter. I love her to bits.â
wilheminataylorâ:
âIâm an herbologist,â Willa said without looking up. âSo this is my area of expertise.â
âSo am I. But I know enough to know that that tree is beyond our help.â Victor shrugged.Â
ezekielsimmonsâ:
âYou go and have a baby and suddenly no one wants to see you anymore, itâs always - whereâs my goddaughter? Whereâs my granddaughter?â Zeke pretended to complain, laughing. âSheâs not quite at the winter gala stage yet in her upbringing.â
âYouâre cute, but not that cute. Iâm sorry about that, Ezekiel.â Victor teased. âRight, right. Sheâs too young for fun.â
octaviabaldwinâ:
Octavia let out a small laugh. âWell, like I said last year, definitely, though I think if I let my kid sit on your lap, sheâd stop believing in Santa.â
âI respect you enough to ask you to please not let your child sit on my lap.â Victor barked out a laugh. âFor her sake, your sake, and mine.â
cassandrasingletonâ:
âBecause you know I get no say in whether or not I chaperone and you wanted to save me from dying of boredom,â Cass retorted with a laugh. âOr, more likely, you enjoy watching me suffer.â
âRight, right. Because I love you so much.â Victor rolled his eyes. âThe second option seems more accurate.â
wilheminataylorâ:
Willa frowned, wondering how the man could be so nonchalant about it, but dismissed it. She turned her focus back to the tree. Bending down, she started studying the ground around it, trying to see if there was something in the soil that was the problem.
Victor watched the woman inspect the tree. âAre you working right now, or are sick trees just a passion of yours?â
ezekielsimmonsâ:
âYou see me cry all the time.â Zeke said, glancing around casually as if they were talking about the weather. Although he knew Victor would see straight through his teasing. âYou make me cry all the time.â
âRight, because Iâm such a mean, horrible, terrible person,â Victor said dramatically. âI always forget how terrible I am until you bring it up.â
âDo you like the suit?â Victor asked. He was wearing the same one as last year with a Santa hat.
