You know when you start to fall in love with someone and you notice every little thing about them and what they do. You notice when they brush against you or when they run their hand through their hair or bite their lip. You can so obviously feel when you stand next to them and their knuckles brush yours or when they stand too close behind you and you can feel their breath on your neck… And you also know how freaking annoying it is.

How you can’t concentrate on anything because they’re sitting too close to you but you can’t start acting funny because people will start to suspect something is wrong and you can not have anyone notice.

You can never seem to keep your eyes to yourself and you find your eyes straying across the room to outline their features. You notice every time they clench their jaw. Every time their eyebrows lift up, even in the slightest. Everytime the lick and bite their lips. Every time their eyes stray to you. Everytime one side of their mouth curves in a smile. Every time their hands move and interlock. Every time their throat moves when they swallow.

You just can’t help it and the more you notice them, the more your mind begins to wander. Wonder about things you probably shouldn’t be thinking about in that certain situation.

You want to know what it feels like for them to take your clothes off and for you to peel off theirs. You wonder what it would feel like for their lips to be on yours. What it would feel like to place your lips against their neck and jaw and what it would feel like for theirs to be on yours. You crave to feel your hands on their bare skin, exploring wherever you can and however much you can. You want to feel their hands grip you with equal intensity as they run down your bare sides and hips. Feel their hands move to your thighs and run their fingertips along the back of them.

And the sounds… you can only imagine the sounds there will be.

The soft and loud moans. Your name being called out and you saying theirs. Their name rolling off your tongue and onto your lips. The soft whimpers after teasing them and the sighs after a satisfying kiss. The heavy breathing when lips break from the skin.

Soon, you snap out of it though because someone talks to you or there is a noise or the presentation is over. Your lustful fantasy ends abruptly and your breath wants to stop. You want to duck your head just to make sure no one knew what you were thinking.

Of course, after that, it can only go one of three ways.

One: You will continue to lust after them and nothing will ever happen. Your crush will diminish and soon you’ll move onto someone else. Undiscovered potential.

Two: You actually get with them and get to experience the things you so hoped you could. The touches, the sounds, the love. A successful fantasy.

Three: You watch and feel miserably crushed as they fall in love with someone else. You exit a hallway and they kiss someone else on the lips and you just want to die. Silent agony.

Whatever the outcome, it happens and somehow, someway… you’ll have to learn to accept that.

Having a crush is so heartbreaking and miserable…

Everyone going shopping on Black Friday, be aware of three things:

The retail workers are working 12 hours shifts. We are threatened with losing our jobs if we don’t show up unless we’re dying in the hospital. I had an assistant manager show up with fucking strep because he would’ve been fired otherwise. Yes, he did infect 7 and hospitalize 2 coworkers; who knows how many members of the public he infected.

The stores have, maybe, 5 of that special cheap thing you’re after. Corporate does this on purpose, and stores are not allowed to order enough. The prices aren’t even that much lower. They lie about how expensive something is to fool you into thinking you’re getting a discount. You aren’t.

Most of the workers you will come across will be new hires for the sole purpose of being bodies for about three months before they’re fired. They actually don’t know anything because they’ve been working there for maybe two weeks, and have had no real training. I was once hired at Staples a week before Black Friday and expected to know how to deal with phones, coupons, the online ordering site, and AS400 after five 6-hour shifts. This is the kind of person you will likely be dealing with at Black Friday.

Do me and my retail family a favor and don’t shop Black Friday. Any company that needs a sale day like Black Friday to get their sales out of the red doesn’t deserve to be in business.

This also goes for anyone that works shipment too. We’re suddenly expected to stay as late as they want you to even if they know you don’t have a car and rely on a ride to get you to and from work and know you can’t stay late. Shipment workers will suddenly start getting berated for not getting things done and it is by far the most stressful time to be a shipment worker for any store. Especially when they throw in new hires that don’t know how to process things and are expected to work at the same pace as the people that have worked there for a while.

Retail is shit around the holidays, especially Black Friday
