//Final Delivery// IT’S FINALLY DONE
Well I mean...it’s passable. Trying to get this final render done was the longest and most boring process, a lot of opening files, turning all the lights on, tweaking settings, playblasting it into the right place, realizing the playblast wasn’t pretty, re-playblasting, then finally putting it into after effects, color correcting, sound editing, and then realizing none of the files lined up properly in the timeline and having to make tweaks every single render so you don’t get any flashes of a black screen.
I have rendered it 10 times today alone. I am done. I’m also debating whether or not putting “you suck” is appropriate...I thought it was funny, Ray thought it was funny, Charles thought it was funny, but seeing it feels really passive aggressive...So I’m going to take it out. Not today, but I will.
Faculty review is tomorrow, so here’s where my film is at right now. Scene 002 is a disaster, having major problems with it, currently trying to tackle those problems but it’s taking some time. Other scenes are working towards polish phase, and have been much nicer to me. There’s also a glitch between Scene 013 and Scene 014.1, don’t mind it I accidentally left a gap between clips so it’s showing the layout underneath. I’ll keep it in check next time.
19/04/17 Final Animation but also ... not really, still a bit to go!
This Might Take Forever Version 017 For my crit tomorrow
//Final Polish// TMTF Version 15!! Making headway!! Very Excited! Ignore the scene numbers and how they aren’t in order, they’re numbered by how the files are saved and because I took out a couple scenes they just get skipped.
I will also be making Marks (guy in red) nose smaller, so the two look a little less related. Haven’t gotten to all scenes so his nose is a ton of different sizes, but it’s okay. MArch 30th, 2017
First Pass of my Dog animation :)
A lot of stuff is being changed but this is for my group critique today haha
My business card! After so many versions, countless adjustments, and constant pestering of the teacher I finally made a business card I’m happy with! Looks kinda like a PowerPoint...but I like it that way.
This Might Take Forever version 13! Put the scenes that I haven’t touched much in spline mode...it looks absolutely atrocious but that’s only because I haven’t gotten to them yet. I’m following my schedule I made about a month ago so I won’t be touching a few of those scenes for a while.
This Might Take Forever version 12, I think!
My sound effects aren’t on this computer so they’re not there.
100% finalized animation this is going in the film immediately
Second pass of Scene 014
First pass of Scene 014, the moment Cody’s been waiting for.
Mark hasn’t been animated yet.
(Warning) This Might Take Forever version 11!
Some poster idea thumbnails I doodled up, I’m really enjoying the second one (which I started to actually draw) but I feel as though the sketchy version is cuter than what I’m doing. The third one is my second favorite, but I’m not sure if I’d like to go minimalistic with how it’s done and draw it sort of vector like or make it in 3D and render it or paint it realistically...However, since I can barely digitally paint the chances of it being the latter are slim. Oh, so so slim.
I took out a couple lights and added in an ambient light to hopefully make the entire room less littered with shadows, my computer isn’t happy about it but there’s not much I can do with that. I really like the change, something about the other lights was getting at me. It looked good without the characters, but once the characters were put in the lights felt extremely bright. I’m hoping this ambient light will make it softer.

Some changes have been made! Blocking has been done a little. First off, added lights! More posters! I still kind of want more posters, hopefully I’ll have time for that.
Blocked in scene 007, and scene 008. Took out the snoring sleeping shot, although I did love it I think time wise it’s better to be taken out considering every time I animate a scene the movie gets longer somehow and I only have so much background music. Changed the beep for when the numbers change, it’s a microwave beep that’s pretty obvious. It’s a substitute for now, until I find a better one.
I think I’ll have to change the numbers again so they work, because now there’s just a huge skip. I also changed up the shot where Mark (red shirt, annoying one) is checking if his ticket matches the screen or not, I was told to add Cody (the victim-ish) into the shot to show that it’s his turn next and the torture is over.
I’m kind of sad there aren’t as many gags as there used to be in previous versions, but every time I touch my film it gets longer somehow and the film has got to be done this semester so some shots have got to go! Sacrifices must be made!
