the thing that gets me about tntduo and the "obsession" that is characteristic of it. is that wilbur's obsession with quackity comes from a projection of his own tragedy. quackity's story is always a beat or two behind wilbur's. by the point of las nevadas quackity has realized this and is attempting to subvert the tragedy that he'll end up with. but wilbur's obsession hangs over this. he acts almost as though he knows something that quackity doesn't. quackity can pretend that this doesn't affect him, but he's too paranoid about his own tragic ending to completely ignore it, and a kind of obsession ends up festering in him too.
