Just when you thought it couldn't be done, a university has handled an on-campus rape the right way.
because this is important.
'The Big Bang Theory' star Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting recently spoke out about why she doesn't consider herself a feminist.
So I know this is kind of old news by now but I still wanted to post it because it really just frustrates me to no end.
This is what I have to say to Kaley: Just because you have "never really faced inequality" doesn't mean you shouldn't consider yourself a feminist. Being privileged doesn't get you out of fighting for gender equality.
On another note Kaley, do you really believe that "things are different now" and "a lot of the work that paved the way for women happened before [you were] around"? There may have been a lot of work done before you were around, but there is still way more work to be done considering in 2013 women were paid 78 cents to every dollar a man made. (I know, again this may not be relevant for you considering you get paid $1 million per episode) but just so you're aware, the change in wage inequality is moving a such a slow pace that at the rate we are going, women will reach wage parity by 2058. So we still have a long way to go.
