Vigilant goes by any pronouns but prefers they/them and although they are not particularly kind, they will not be outright hostile unless they decide you are somehow āthreateningā area zero. They are a shiny Iron Valiant that was caught by AI Turo and before the Paradise Protection Protocol was defeated, was given the command to āProtect this Paradiseā. Vigilant does not remember much of their life before traveling back in time but does remember that it was a guard of some sort and so they take their job very seriously.
Not quite sure whether this blog will follow Violet canon or a mix of s/v so Iāll be figuring it out as I go along. In character hate is allowed but it must have a blog attached, not just anon. I think that covers most of it so good luck out there :)

This one goes quite a bit deeper into Vigilantās story and touches on some underlying problems with the way Vigilant thinks. I wonāt say much more than that however

Vigilant can sometimes be very quick to fight people. Their job after all is to keep Area Zero safe and the way they interact best with the world, the way they were designed, is primarily through combat. Itās their most efficient method of communication and when they determine something as a threat, they are nothing if not efficient.

I am worried for The Professor. It has been acting abnormal. I can think of no viable reasoning for a survey of the deep tunnels with my current information. No file searches have yielded successful results in regards to these unusual actions. Such a change in my schedule is abrupt, unnecessary. ā¦Perhaps information is being deliberately hidden from me. The Tera Crystals here do not have the same structural formations as the Tera Crystals in other parts of Paradise. I will have to make note of this for the report. I could put the report on pause, if I wanted. The data would not be as accurate but it would allow me to check on The Professor. I cannot allow both the Original and AI to fall under my watch. I am supposed to be the guardian of Paradise and they are a part of that. I owe it to them to protect them. No, there is not enough evidence for me to jeopardize the report. It would be a very grave waste of both time and energy to travel back and forth between the Zero Lab and these tunnels. I simply have to complete this report as efficiently as possible. The job must be completed.
Vigilant misses The Professor. Vigilant also misses the child they used to protect, although they don't remember them as well as they feel like they should. They miss having someone to go to when something didn't work out how they thought it would. They miss helping the person who saved them, who gave them a job to do. Vigilant did not like to admit these things. They distracted from the task at hand, they slowed down the processing of strategy during combat. Still, it was notā¦ wrong of them to feel these things. Vigilant just had to make sure that they always put the job first.
These were simple feelings though, compared to others that Vigilant tries to avoid. There are rumors that Paradise is not a paradise. There are rumors that this is why the AI Professor did what they did. This would mean that The Professor was wrong. It would mean that Vigilant's task of protecting Paradise, of keeping it safe for as long as Vigilant can standā¦ was not the correct order to give. The complex mix of feelings that this brings confuses Vigilant. The Professor was first, but his creation outlasted him. Which was smarter then? If the destruction of Paradise was what the AI Professor wanted, then why were Vigilant"s orders not changed? There was not enough evidence, not enough reasoning. Vigilant would follow orders. Vigilant would protect Paradise. It is what they were ordered to do. Vigilant cannot afford the time or the energy wasted on such hypothetical matters. The job must be put first.
Emotions are not something Vigilant excels at. At least, compared to people. Vigilant was, in fact, created and raised with complex thought processing in mind. Still, It was the kid they used to protect that showed them theā¦ Joy that emotion can bring. Ever since the incident with the first two Iron Valiants, Vigilant has kept a careful watch of their strength. They are strong. They need to protect. However, there are moments where emotions can be blinding. Where their watchful sensors can be clouded by their own processing. When this happens, they do not āsee redā, like the saying goes. Instead, it is the bright pink of their blade that surrounds their vision.
Iron Hands #8 had incurred that glowing anger. There are very few objects that Vigilant truly treasures, as they can become a waste of energy. Love too many things and you will have nothing left to give for the job that really matters. Love, for as much as it can reward, can easily become a liability. Yet occasionally, something gifted from a place of honesty and of connection can be allowed. A pink cloth, a soothing bell. When one of these few objects is taken, it hurts all the more. Vigilant cannot be sure that Iron Hands #8 truly meant to break the gifted bell, but they did so anyway. There was a pause, as the information was processed, as Vigilant worked through the steps of such an event.
There was a gift that was given to them by a kind human named Chamomile. It was an odd bell. Theyā¦ Like that bell. They had recently lost and recovered that bell. The bell was now broken, bent and shattered. Theyā¦ Liked that bell. It made themā¦ Sad to lose that bell. They could not act on sadness now. They are not designed to grieve, they are designed to fight. The loss of the bell makes themā¦ Angry. They are in a battle, they are allowed to fight. They areā¦ Angry. They areā¦ Very Angry. Vigilant instantly shifts their weight as their battle tactics change. This is no longer a skirmish to win, a check off their schedule. This is a threat to them, to something they like. They will eliminate all threats and they will do so effectively without hesitation. This Iron Hands no longer deserves the time wasted in beating them with minimal injury. This Iron Hands will be taken down with more than all of the strength required to end this immediately. Vigilant swipes their blade through the air and forces energy out and through the distance between them. Vigilant uses the energy to overwhelm them, to shatter them thoughtly. Iron Hands #8 collapses immediately following Vigilantās Spirit Break. The fight is over. Now Vigilant will have something much harder to deal with, the aftermath of their failures to protect what was precious to them.

Why does the other Iron Valiant not like you? Is it a territory thing or something?
I will assume you are referring to Iron Valiant #2. They were the Iron Valiant that arrived before me. I am Iron Valiant #3. I am stronger than the two who came before me. I am smarter than the two who came before me. They did not like this. The Professor paid more attention to me. I was tasked with a job. I was training for this job by sparring with them. I did not know how to hold back. There was not enough collected data to properly repair Iron Valiant #1. Iron Valiant #2 was attached to Iron Valiant #1. I learned much about restraint from that fight. Iron Valiant #2 does not recognize my job as Paradise Guardian. They have claimed the Glyph Cavern as their territory. They resist my work. I have continued to defeat them. Iron Valiant #1 has not been documented in my records since after they were released from recovery.
I have conducted a structural survey of the Glyph Cavern. I fought Iron Valiant #2. I won. They are not fond of me. My survey was finished with minimal interference. The cavern is still stable. There are no specific points to be watched. There are signs of a previous instability. These signs are of an unknown date. I do not have a predicted time pertaining to when the cavern will collapse. The full survey and report will be filed. The Glyph Cavern has not been properly studied. I am required to maintain it until it can be studied. The bell is not in the best of condition and it looks like it has been recently welded back together and bent into shape. Vigilant cautiously rings it and gets a soft and calming noise. The sound isn't as smooth or as satisfying as it used to be but Vigilant doesn't seem to mind.]
