———   Smoke trails over Candela’s silhouette lazily; the vigilante grins, flames flickering in and out of existence around her teeth. “ Oh, I’ve got plenty of quarrels to be had with some of your heroes... but that’s not what I’m here for today. A slimy man’s come this way looking for shelter, and I’m here to make sure he knows he will never get away. ”

in case anyone needs a reminder as to how terrible these leaders are, I was about to let candela make a pun about murder and ‘ well done ’ .

              Hm, he wondered if Kaminari got burns like               that or if that was something that varied from               from person to person. He would have to ask               about it for the notebook. Speaking of the               notebook it seemed to almost magically appear               in his hands. Izuku was already writing down               everything Spark had told him.

                                               ❝ So electrical burns become the real                                                danger? Do they heal at regular rates? ❞

———   “ Ain’t that something! I love hearing about other electricity users. Just between you and me, though, so far I haven’t found one that I couldn’t beat. ” Spark winks conspiratorially at the kid, as though he hasn’t trained himself for combat throughout most of his life. ( He’s quite happy to note that he’s the only one who likes to make wings out of them, too. )

A raised brow is spared towards the notebook, but it’s quickly wiped away by a brilliant grin. Let the student write whatever he wants; Spark doubts any of it’d be used against him, since it comes from a kid and lacks the full story.

“ They’re like normal burns so they should heal normally, but sometimes they’re kinda slow because I’ve tired myself out somehow, haha! Do injuries from your quirk heal at a different speed? ”

Gail loved going out at night. Her parents probably wouldn’t be too happy, but they were asleep. And villain activity had been lower lately. She would be fine.

Besides, there was no one with better night vision than her. She would be able to see someone coming long before they noticed her.

Or she could turn a corner and walk into a robbery in progress. She should probably run so she wouldn’t be mistaken for one of the thieves, but she couldn’t. She hid in the shadows instead and gave them a little boost of extra darkness. The thought of stopping them on her own was too stupid to consider. But if she was lucky, she would be able to report their appearance to a hero or the cops. 

Or maybe a hero could show up now. That was better. It wasn’t anyone she recognized, but Gail didn’t keep up with heros much.

———   Blanche lifts a hand to their brow, pressing their fingertips there as though the pressure would ward off the headache. It doesn’t help, of course, but it’d been worth a shot.

Frost crackles up their boots in a decorative fashion; a subconscious expression of their quirk, although it didn’t look like it at first glance. It was good, constant practice, and it allowed them to more quickly tap into Freezer when they needed it, such as... this particular event. Blanche halts before the sight of a robbery and narrows their eyes, scanning the surroundings.

No police, no heroes. Figures. Who knows if this small-time burglar was even worth considering to hold trigger... No, no.

Teal eyes flash an unnaturally bright blue, and ice surges like a wave, erupting from the ground to swallow up the sudden shouts from the culprits. Only after the roaring ice tinkles to a stop does Blanche notice a bystander; their eyes narrow. “ You. Have you called for a hero? ”

“We are far from perfect, but we are good,” says Candela, who doesn't seem to realize that literally roasting villains may not be a Good thing.

“Perfection is subjective and all, but…”

“Burning someone to a crisp is NOT a good thing, even if they are villains.” She was a little quick to reprimand the female, albeit lightly, if her tone is anything to go by. “A few burns or circling them in a ring of fire could be a few other ways to apprehend them. Unless they have immunity to fire, that is.” She noted openly.

“…Nearest cafe…?” Was she looking for a particular one? Or just the nearest one? He’ll try to give an informative reply so that he can help the passerby civilian like an honorable not-quite-hero either way. “There’s one about an eighth of a kilometer Northeast that sells pastries and coffee, as well as one a forth of a kilometer South from here that just sells pastries…Would you like me to show you them?” 

There’s also one that is family owned that sells pastries, teas, and the owner has a cat. ( That one’s his favorite, but it’s a whole 2 kilos from here, not what the stranger was asking for. ) 

———   While getting a cup of coffee did sound rather tempting, Candela had other plans. Her informant had given her a vague location of the café rather than directions or even a name... but it was supposedly the closest one to this position, so. “ The one south from here, then, ” she decided easily. “ If it’s not too much trouble, could you show me the way? I’m afraid being new has turned my sense of direction around completely. ”

... Which was, actually, a lie — not that the kid needed to know. In reality, one person wandering on her own would attract more attention than she was really looking for. “ Thanks a ton! ”

                       The lightening appears in Spark’s                        hand and Izuku has already started                        muttering rapidly to himself. 

              ❝ Another electricity user? They all have really                 similar powers at different levels at control.                 Sometimes Kaminari fries himself stupid. Is                  that something that’s common? ❞

———   “ ‘ Another ’ ? So you know someone else like me? ” Electricity isn’t the rarest type of power to yield, although different people tended to access it differently, unless they ( and thus their quirks ) were related. “ That’s cool! Maybe I’ll run into your friend sometime — we could share tips or something. I don’t really fry myself stupid, I kind of fry myself numb. And then my control slips, and then electrical burns become a real threat. That kind of injury isn’t fun, you know? ”

———   “ That’s good to hear! I guess they really are teaching you guys well in that school of yours. ” Spark grins brightly at the student, rather oblivious ( or simply carefree? ) of his own forwardness. He rubs his fingers together, allowing a little bit of static electricity to crackle into the air. “ Way back a few years, yeah! See this? I wasn’t always perfect at controlling it. ”

———   I hereby present my newest impulse creation: an indie & selective BNHA / MHA AU Blanche, Spark, & Candela from PokéGO! they’ve got QUIRKS instead of pokémon and teams of VIGILANTES instead of trainers, but don’t think that makes them any less of the rightful leaders they are. please love them, they’re trying their Best™ to do heroic stuff while avoiding the law.
