There's a lot of talk in Swedish politics about the ability to retract someone's citizenship if they misbehave (either for just "bad conduct" from the right/nazis or for serious crimes such as being a gang leader from the left), and this pisses me off so much. My own stance is what was obvious until very recently which is that once you're a citizen you are 100% Swedish and any problems you cause are our problems and we deal with it here.

But I also like to hypothetically embrace this dumb racist idea and go full out to make it non-racist again: A citizen is a citizen, so if one citizen can lose their citizenship, then any citizen can. Let's go, exile is back on the punishment scale! Oh, your family line has lived in Sweden for generations and you have no connections anywhere else? Well you shouldn't have commited fraud then. Goodbye :)
