La La Land (2016)

"My father always said, 'Never trust anyone whose TV is bigger than their book shelf' - so I make syre I read".

I must say I find that girl utterly delightful. Flat as a board, enormous birthmark in the shape of Mexico over half her face, sweating for hours on end in that sweltering kitchen while Mendl (genius though he is) looms over her like a hulking gorilla - yet without question, without fail, always, and invariably: she’s exceedingly lovely. Why? Because of her purity.
"I think as a woman it's in our nature to nurture someone else. Sometimes at the expense of ourselves".
"When Andrew and Emma stood next to one another it was like you heard the angel choir singing. It was blessed. The last time I’ve seen that blunt of chemistry was Hepburn and Tracy; when Andrew and Stone are on screen, you’re mesmerized. It’s so obvious how strong they are together, and how he’s strong for her, and she’s strong for him."
