Veronica when Ben tells her how he unlocked Daniel’s phone:
Pro Tip go get a flu shot.
Doesn’t matter if you’re young and healthy, go get a flu shot this year. Because it’s bad. Shit is very bad this year, and the flu is way worse than a cold. It will knock you on your ass, and if you had COVID who knows how much worse it’ll be on your respiratory system.
Go get a flu shot
Tomorrow.

You may relate to Where the Leaves Fall Purple if one or more of the following has ever applied to you:
-You have a passion project or a dream job that you really want but don't know how to make it happen
-You're the odd one out in your own friend group
-You've ever been in love with your best friend (but couldn't tell them)
-You dated a friend, then broke up, and now you want to be friends again but it's awkward
-A friend of yours has dated someone you really hated but you couldn't really say anything about it
-You always tell everyone you're fine even when you are very clearly not
-You're bisexual (or pansexual) and you're sick of people defining your sexuality based on the gender of the partner you have at the time
-You find true crime interesting or people who find true crime interesting annoy you (there's something for both sides here)
-Sarcasm is your preferred defense mechanism
-You asked you friend (who you sort of secretly are in love with) to go missing so you could document it on your podcast, but then her boyfriend (who you hate) decides to go with her and then all of a sudden they go missing and what was supposed to be a joke is not a whole ordeal and you may be responsible for an actual crime that you have to solve before people find out the truth about how it all started and you also need to find your friend in case something actually happened to her
You might like Where the Leaves Fall Purple if...
-You're a fan of audio fiction/audio dramas and you like ensemble casts. Our show has thirty actors overall, but don't worry, we'll introduce them slowly so it doesn't get confusing. Some of them only show up once or twice but are all important to the story. We wanted to give you a whole world like you're watching a tv show. You'll mostly follow Ben Miller, Ezra Hansen, Veronica Barrow, and Wyatt Perth to try and solve what happened to Janie Melnyk
-You either find true crime podcasts interesting or you can't stand them. A weird juxtaposition, we know. We'll explain. Our show is about Ben Miller an amateur true crime podcaster who can't get anyone to listen to his show. To try and increase listenership he asks his best friend Janie Melnyk if she will stage her own disappearance so he can find her. The plan works a little too well when she really does go missing. WTLFP follows tropes of true crime in Ben's search but also plays with how sometimes the people in front of the mic may take it too far and forget that they are still talking to real people. We bring you the consequences as well as the action.
-You like solving (or trying to solve) mysteries. If you think you're good at figuring out who did it before the big reveal, try your hand at this audio drama! Each episode Ben will follow a new lead until everyone is a suspect. The only clue he really has at the start is blood writing on a cabin wall that reads "Where the Leaves Fall Purple." What does it mean? And what does it have to do with the disappearance?
-You want a show with positive queer rep. 3/5 of our main characters are part of the LGBT+ community. Ezra: Ben's roommate, is a gay man dealing with the recent breakup with his ex-boyfriend Wyatt. Their breakup meant that he also lost his best friend. Wyatt deals with the stereotypes and scrutiny of being a bisexual man as he's started dating a girl named Skylar after Ezra. Veronica is a lesbian who is often everyone's voice of reason. She's Janie's other best friend who doesn't like Ben much at the start.
-You like shows that don't shy away from harder topics. WTLFP deals with topics of anxiety, biphobia, domestic violence/assault, death, and grief. We put warnings on episodes that may be triggering. We wanted the story to feel authentic (in a tasteful, responsible way), which means that sometimes we do have to have the hard conversations/moments. We try our best to handle them with tact and heart.
-You want to support indie artists/creators. WTLFP started as a group of people getting together in the show's creator's basement to tell a good story. And that's still what it is. Majority of the cast and crew are volunteers and others are only receiving a small honorarium because it's all we can afford to do coming out of a very difficult time for creatives. You listening directly supports everyone involved. We appreciate every stream/download.
Thank you for reading! We hope you'll give us a try!

It’s Bisexual Awareness Week, so it’s fitting that we just released our episode about Wyatt!
What does Wyatt know about the disappearance of Janie and Daniel? His ex boyfriend, Ezra caught Wyatt lying to his new girlfriend, Skylar about his whereabouts the night of the alleged crime. But is there more to this story than meets the eye?
Stream Where the Leaves Fall Purple episode 5: What About Wyatt wherever you get your podcast. Or start the search from the beginning and see if you can figure out Where the Leaves Fall Purple.

nandor spending the whole season causing absolute chaos for everyone and then spending the majority of the last episode quietly sitting in a room and reading like ‘wow that was a lot of work i need a nice break’ who is the real energy vampire here
[ID: 1. Nandor sitting on a lone armchair on a vague green background, holding a book that is only open to the first page and staring blankly into the distance over the top of it. He thinks to himself, "Guillermo has not come to talk to me for a few days..." 2. Nandor hunches his shoulders and pulls the book up closer to his face, gaze intense on the pages as he forces himself to concentrate. He thinks, "I must increase my aloofness!!" /end ID]
After the finale, Nandor continues the search for two brain cells to rub together. How long do y'all think it will take him to notice djsjsksj

Happy Audio Drama Sunday
Audio drama fans, sound off on your favourite audio dramas!
Audio drama creators, introduce yourself and your show. We'd love to meet you!
Let me introduce ourselves:
We're a mystery/thriller audio drama about Ben Miller, a university student who runs a failing true crime podcast. In a misguided attempt to get more listeners, he asks his best friend, Janie Melnyk, to fake her own disappearance so he can document finding her on his show. Things take a dark turn when she really does go missing with only the message "Where the Leaves Fall Purple" left behind.
If you're interested in our show, you can stream/download it wherever you get your podcasts.
