Gluttony continued to sniffle and hold onto Greed’s leg like an overweight koala clinging to a tree. Even with Envy’s reassurance the fat homunculus wouldn’t let go of his irrational fear Greed would take everything tasty in the world for himself and leave nothing for him to eat.
Lust watched on in silence, not missing the fact Greed was caught off from giving her an answer to her question. No matter what choice he made or how he felt about them Father’s decision would be the finale word but still she had wanted to know just how long they had until Greed made his choice. Family or freedom. The choice was so obvious she wondered now why she bothered to ask at all.
With Gluttony continuing on pleading Lust finally stood from the pipe and stepped over to pat their little brother’s smooth bald head.
“Gluttony, do you want Father to have to fix you after Greed loses his patience?” The fat man’s tears dried up with a whimper, releasing Greed and backing up to hide behind Lust just in case. Looking to Greed and then to Envy an idea popped into her head that could go either very well or completely awful. With the way things were going the odds probably wouldn’t improve as time went on.
“If you’re so sure the top world is better than down here then prove it Greed.”
“Show us what it is up there you want so much. The next time you go up, we;ll go with you.”
He wiped his pants clean as soon as Gluttony had leat go, scowling at the spots that were not staining his pants from where Gluttony had cried onto them. It seriously made him kick Glutt’s face in for messing up his precious wardrobe.
He could not be angry for too long however because Lust’s proposal
caught him quite off guard and made him perk up in confusion.
“You –” He pointed at his three siblings.
“Wanna join me upstairs?”
Oh that was hilarious. He was actually liking this idea just to see how annoyed he could get them. Wasn’t like they could keep him from going up there.
“Kehehe! Fine but only if Envy here puts on a proper disguise.
I don’t wanna be seen with him the way he looks now, that’s just embarrassing.”
Envy was just as surprised as Greed at Lust’s proposal. He had no desire to see how the human’s lived, but he’d be damned if his three siblings went upstairs without him.
He didn’t much like being left out of things.
“...hey!” he snapped and bared his teeth at Greed, “I’ll look how I damn well want!”
“And who said I even want to go up and admire your trash world. I spend more time with humans than any of you through the years, working for father, I’ve seen how utterly useless they are,”
