Quick sketch of an idea
these two should kiss actually-
Everytime Jax felt remorse
Immediately after telling Pomni “I would move on, and I would probably forget about you.” His face twists and he tries to pass it as a joke.
He swears twice and kicks something in frustration…with himself. His mask is slipped away for this moment.
No one’s watching now. His mask is completely gone, showing his true feelings on what happened. You can tell he definitely feels regret.
It’s too much and he’s triggered into a panic attack. Associating Pomni, someone he cares about (even if he fails to admit it), with abstraction, is bringing back trauma
What-if ep 6 Jax got 'killed' before realizing he was in too deep and instead continued to be in that limbo where he keeps casually hanging out with Pomni, as his fear response hasn't fully realized pinpointed the issue yet? You cant run away of the New Terrifying Feeling if youre not aware of it to begin with :))
Or: Pomni gains free will and so do Jax's emotions.
LOVE the concept of Jax IN THE STORY reducing the characters to archetypes and BEING WRONG. Fandom gonna fandom so yeah people were constantly flattening these characters to fit them into the Trope Boxes. We had people acting like Pomni is a helpless child, and like Ragatha is either a manipulative monster or a perfect being. Now you have Jax CANONICALLY doing exactly that: choosing to think about everyone as if they were flat stock characters so he doesn't have to think about their internality, and it's shown how he couldn't be more wrong. These characters have DEPTH whether you like it or not. Fucking awesome metacommentary
Sleeping... Pomni's way. 🌙
funnybunny doodle dump to prove I'm still alive.....
Funnybunny pt.2!!
She finally convinced them to wear the cat ears! It didn’t take that much effort though ;)
“I hated myself … But then, you… Showed up. And my outlook just, changed.”
KINGER my fav 😭❤️
this is how it'll happen btw
This seems pretty canon to me
What does it mean to be "human?"
they all acted as narrative foils to Jax's character this episode which I really enjoyed
Just a short funnybunny comic I drew! :D
