so I was just rewatching some of the sadist dsmp animations (I got nostalgic yk?) and I always thought this bit was just a joke/nerves. But then it got me thinking… this would be awesome foreshadowing. It’s nothing too extreme but the way it’s played off as a mistake would really just be the cherry on top if it was intentional (I’m sure it wasn’t). Anyway I just thought that was cool :)

Why, holy fuck why do authors do this

I hate it when they do this

They build up a scene, they pile the words higher and higher til you see nothing but the beautiful clouds, they build a scene up and right when it gets good and I'm so engaged with it, they cut it off and go onto a new scene

Just skipping over one of the best parts and going on with the plot

For content, I'm reading a fic and there was this amazing build up for the character and it was getting so emotional and the main character was about to cry, then they fucking skipped over it and went onto the next scene

I WANNA READ TEARS, I WANNA READ ABOUT THE CHARACTER SOBBING THEIR HEART OUT, PLEASEEEE

Also another thing, is when the crying scene doesn't last long, it just goes on for a few sentences, like please make it longer ohmygosh I need it too

Ok that was my rant I will be crawling back into my hole and grieving over the tears the character never shed
