Can’t get more Vintage Sacramento than this beautiful 1957 home in South Land Park. Open today and tomorrow. Let’s all hold hands and pray that whoever buys it will appreciate it as it is!

Look at how adorable these two cuties are! This is Mrs Porter’s 1st Grade Music class in 1958 Sacramento, and I’m not sure if they’re about to perform for their classmates, or if it’s show-and-tell time!
Mother deserves an award for her contributions to the twins Camellia Parade entries! Ummm, looks like the brother on the left might want to lay off the rubber cement fumes for a bit! Happy Mothers Day from 1958!
Here comes Creepy Cottontail! He's bringing joy to the kids in this 1960 pic taken in Land Park's Fairy Tale Town!
1958 Scouts Parade in downtown Sacramento.
It’s time for a road trip! 1985 trip to California’s Gold Country…Â
Not actually in Sacramento, but it's close enough, and worth a look at those beautiful MGs!
Check out the expression on the boy in plaid's face (on the left)! This precious class photo is courtesy of Steve Cotton, circa 1962-63, from Earl Leggett School in Fair Oaks.
Look at the Googie-wonderful Eppie's at 30th & N in this vintage postcard. It's still standing, though I trust that it's been updated inside many times over... (currently an IHOP) (postcard courtesy of Alan Almeida's collection)
2 more class photos courtesy of Alan Almeida. These are from Hollywood Park school in Sacramento, circa 1968 & 1969.
More class photos courtesy of Alan Almeida! Sacramento's Newton Booth school, 1966, 1967.
Great class pic of 1965's Mrs Calcagno students at Sacramento's Newton Booth school! Courtesy of Alan Almeida.
From The Sacramento Union, May 1963. Love this shot promoting the KVIE auction! Mr and Mrs Mering are showing off their skills as bartender and maid!
Great newspaper photo from 1963!
Early 1960s Land Park fun! Looks like Pops got a brand-new movie camera, and the kids are pretty excited! Sonny is even snapping a shot of Pops snapping a shot of him! Now, lets hope he gets the hang of composing his shot!
Today is the celebration of 175 years since John Sutter's arrival, at Sutter's Fort! This Fritz Vibe postcard shows it from the 1960s.
Happy Heat Streak! I like the multi-tasking going on in this 1950's Land Park backyard! Not only are the boys cooling off in the nifty striped pop-up pool, but they are also drying out their laundry on the line... seems like a perfect way to spend the day, then & now!Â
