“Oh, good!” Maya let out in a breath as she started towards the living room with a smile on her face. “Hi!” She waved once. “I was really hoping I wouldn’t be the first one to get here but also not the last one, so I’m glad you’re here as well.” She grinned lightly, taking a quick peek at the cameras around them. Damn, they were thorough with all the ones they’d placed around. Granted, she was told how many there would be but it didn’t sink in until she crossed that door; they’d literally have every moment of their lives shown to the nation. “Oh, I’m Maya. Which room are you in?”

The positive energy that filled the room when the stranger entered helped Viola relax some into the couch. Instead of standing up, she simply turned around to lift her hand up. A small wave back to the room. Her eyes looked to the same camera the other woman had when she noticed. The idea of being constantly watched sent a shiver down her spin. “Here I am - I think one more person or two are upstairs...” She added before finally standing. “Viola, room...three? I think...it’s on the second floor. You?”

“Oh,” was all Amara could say as she tried to consider all the other options for someone  to live but not to live somewhere. It almost felt like her, spending months in a trailer that was considered home but would never be which made a house like this feel like a dream, or a nightmare. “I will say that I prefer a bedroom to a trailer, that are never the most comfortable of places to sleep..” Even if she couldn’t sleep here while offering the other woman a small smile. “I wouldn’t want to intrude.”

"Yeah, uh, hotel rooms are the ones I prefer. I imagine bunks on a bus are a lot like trailers.”  She replied before allowing herself another drag form her cigarette. Allowing a moment of silence to follow between them as the smoke feels her lungs. A part of her wanted to explain herself, her social awkward habits but the other part of her felt like that could just make the situation worse. “Don’t be silly! You’re not intruding at all, we’re all living together now. Coexisting - getting to know each other...whatever else the reps pitched...” She rambled before offering the stranger a soft smile.

“Do I just go in?” Maya asked the camera man. She stood before the front door, hand on the handle and wide eyes on the man. She swallowed thickly, maybe this had all been a bad idea. She could still go back right? From what she’d heard, almost everyone was big on the industry and she was just… a fighter who got lucky. With a deep breath and a shake of her head, Maya pulled the door open and let herself in. “Is… is anyone home?”

Viola sat in the living room with all of her things at her feet. Simply doing this task felt wrong. ‘This could grow me’ she thought as her eyes snapped up to one of the noticeable cameras ‘...or maybe this is the worst mistake I’ve ever made’. Her mind pushed to overdrive in the moment. Every part of her knew she should look away and act natural but that was the furthest thing on her mind. So she stated. A woman’s voice brought her out of her thoughts, maybe she should stay there. “Um -- in the living room.” Her voice fell into the tone she typically used to the boys in the band, doing her best to make it sound as if she knew what she were doing.

“Beds weird you out?” That may have been the first time that she’d heard it put that way, watching the other woman for a moment before she was stepping towards the edge of the porch and moved down the steps into the grass as she let her bare feet feel the cool dew left behind overnight. “I couldn’t sleep… new house an’ all.” She smiled weakly, too tired to bother making it look genuine when in reality it was the number of cameras fixated on her that were getting to her already. 

Viola hesitated at the question as she allowed herself another drag, to figure her next choice of words she looked to the large house. “Bedrooms...that’s what I meant. It’s been awhile since I lived somewhere.” She blurted. All of these people were not her roadies. Her eyes scan over her stranger. “Makes sense. More than welcome to sit out here.” She added before turning her attention to finding a seat on the porch.

   This was not what Kyra had signed up for. When she’d been offered the position as First AD on a reality tv show, she’d thought it’d be like all the rest. Running around, chasing after the talent, and making sure the cameras got their shot, but this time–she was part of the show. Looking around the house, suitcase in tow, she could only imagine all of the many, terrible, horrible ways that this could go south fast. Hooray. Now, if only she could find her room…

“Hello...” Viola echoes from the other side of the hallway. She’d been sorting through the few things she’d brought with her and only walked out when the room felt too small. In the moment she hadn’t exactly expected to speak to anyone. Though the woman’s strong presence took her by surprise. Once she’s able to draw closer Vi spoke “...you look in charge.” She’ll blurt out after she’s examined the stranger.

Twenty four seven, seven days a week, the cameras would be rolling; that was what she’d been told but Amara didn’t realize what that entailed that all her private moments would be filmed other than in the bathroom where she couldn’t spend all her time. Every time she tried to do just that, there was a voice telling her that she had to come out and socialize especially since it was only day two. Exiting the bathroom, early enough that she thought that no one else would be awake; it wasn’t until she’d stumbled on the back porch when she saw that she wasn’t alone. “Couldn’t sleep or… ?”

Smoking had always been an escape for Viola even at the tender age of thirteen she longed for a drag. It could've been her father’s bandmates that were to blame for her habit. No matter, the woman seemed incapable of quitting. Signing up for the show simply being another thing that created a need for a moment like this: thick smoke, crisp air, and her hair lightly blowing in the wind. Once the words processed in her mind, Vi took note of how lost that actress appeared. “Honestly? Beds kind of weird me out. I feel like I should be doing something and yet I’m not needed here.” She replied between puffs making sure to blow in the opposite direction. Taking a moment to process before she added “...you?”

Nervous. That’s exactly how River felt as they tugged their bag higher onto their shoulder, a secure hand on their suitcase. They weren’t exactly sure how they’d managed to convince the producers to let them film a video or two (even if they had to be pre-approved) in the house but that meant more luggage to bring with them. The camera bag was heavy on their shoulder, but River ignored it as they pushed the door open, almost in awe by how beautiful the house was. It wasn’t the first gorgeous place they’d seen, but the fact that they were going to live here for weeks on end with a bunch of famous strangers still hadn’t really registered in their mind. As they stepped across the threshold, River wondered if it wasn’t too late to back out. Maybe if they turned around and ran back to the studio they’d been hiding in since they moved out of Taylor’s house before anyone noticed they were there, River could just forget the whole thing, but something inside of them urged them forward, further into the house. They chewed on their lip for a moment before kicking the door shut behind them. “I know people are here already,” River called out after a moment, taking a moment to even out their breath before they added to no one in particular. “Hello.”

It had been nearly two hours of sitting in her bed and rethinking her last steps. Her luggage light: two backpacks and a large tote held all of her precious belongings. All piled at the end of the bed. Looking down at her chipped nails she attempted to reason if she should have taken her father’s advice in the first place. Staying in such a nice place brought the feeling of heartburn to her chest. Viola, after all, was a woman who took well to the bus and various hotel rooms - not homes. Never those. She’d never been very skilled at staying in one place for too long. The slam of the door and a small voice brought her back to reality. There were other sounds, other voices, and a guarantee that many of the others were already there. 

She focused on the small greeting. A voice familiar from her travels. Once she stepped out from her door and brushed the hair behind her ears she recognized the young man. Thanks to the hours of Youtube the keyboardist had filled their spare time with. As she lifted her hand a stiff smile tugged on the corner of her lips. “Yeah -- people. I’ve been called a person once or twice. Hi.”

family: Vi was the second born to punk star legend Franky Sams of the band Frankenstein and first born to head groupie Rosa Michaels. She has three half siblings and multiple step-parents. Growing up in the spotlight she often longed to be back stage with her father or his bandmates. (Most of her fondest memories revolve around music)

job: During her teens she was a drummer for a punk band called the Benders who broke up after two years. Most of the bandmates were relatives of bigger stars in the industry. She attempted a solo career in her late teens / early twenties but found life on the road more rewarding. Now she serves as a band manager for ‘the Eggheads’ a punk band of four twenty somethings who’ve been in the spotlight for three years.

thoughts on love: Viola longs for love and believes that true love may be out in the world. Typically she will give all of herself to people and/or hobbies to fulfill the hole left after her divorce. 

type of drunk: Cocky as hell. Expect a lot of terrible singing, some stripping, and as many curse words as your heart can handle.

drinks/smokes: She’s a heavy smoker and drinker thanks to a life on the road. Recently she’s attempted to quit smoking but coming onto the show has only increased her need for a cigarette or joint. 

tattoos: She has a set of drums illustrated on the back of her neck, three ‘x’s on her shoulder (inspired by Scott Pilgrim she jokes she’s 4 x’s away from becoming a life ruiner) , and a traditional red rose on her hip. 

piercings: She used to have a full ear of various rings but has took most of them out over the years. Her tongue is pierced. 

sex-life: Currently very dry -- while on the road she gave into a couple one night stands. Doesn’t expect any sex in the house.

mindset: “Get shit done and help out when you can.” 

favorite type of film: Viola prefers musician documentaries to movies but if she’s forced to decide she’ll pick horror.

attitude toward others: As an introvert she typically does her best to stay away from crowds of people. Though if she grows to like someone she will instantly want to take care of them. 

lives: Owns a studio apartment in LA but rarely stays there. Instead tour buses and hotel suits tend to be her living space. 

hobbies: Playing drums, first person shooter games, baking, and cards.

love vs. lust: Always love though she wouldn’t mind lust from time to time. 

do they care at all: Vi’s first instinct is to care. About music, people, places, movements, everything. If she begins not to care that means someone or something crossed too many lines (and are likely to never gain her trust)

relationship history: As mentioned above she has three ex relationships that mean something. The first being with her best friend from high school; he was son to a fashion designer and her world gave him the ability to rebel. The second: was Carter Vance the sweetest woman she ever knew that over dosed at a party. The last: her wife of two years Yvonne. Another band manager for more pop focused bands who cheated on Vi -- the video of her affairs went viral. Viola hasn’t allowed herself to be in a relationship for four years because of that. A key reason she’s devoted to her work.
