  Viola and Alexa were raised by their grandfather after an unfortunate accident that lead to both of their parents severely injured and then not too long after dead. Alexa still remember their parents a bit, but Viola was far too young to remember them at all.        Both of them were raised by their grandfather–usually they’ll call him Pops or Ol’ Tyrantrum. He taught them all they know, plus a little more…Included but not limited to basic(in some case advanced) self defense and survival skills in case of an emergency on the field. This was partially due to the paranoia that their Pops had after his own terrible emergency that ended with him retiring from his job as a member of the International Police as well as giving him severe PTSD. 

  Their grandfather was a Chief Superintendent in the Kalosian aligned regions, his name would be Hyban.

Perhaps a bit carried away, Viola's voice quick as she spoke before she quickly let a hand cover over her mouth. A soft giggle and a smile, the photographer straightening her back and taking a slight slide back.

Viola remained quiet a moment, her brows somewhat narrowed--she wasn't an idiot. Perhaps it was the minor details that caught her eye before the broader picture. The little details that might enhance the photograph, the visual composition, the act of someone twitching or moving oddly. They were things she kept an eye out for. For sake of the art form, though it had definitely helped with her ability to recognize issues or people acting off.

" ...you alright, calem? you look a l'ttle sparse today. "

Concern was clear in the leader's voice, offering her hand out for him. She bet if her Vivillon was out, they'd feel the exact same thing she was. Connected, in a way, they were. A bond. With all the rumours and recent events...frankly she wouldn't be surprised if Calem was a little stressed. More than that.

Viola lowered her camera, the Santalune gym leader letting out a soft laugh as she let go of the equipment all together, simply hanging around her neck--secure but loose enough not to be too tasking to walk around with.

" hardly sound like you're from around here! 'm viola, viola blumenthal! 'm the santalune gym leader, and a photographer, if you ever need photos taken~ "

Or analyzed, but that's mostly for people like the police.

  Why is Korrina’s gym so physically tasking?        Korrina is under the personal belief that those that train pokemon should be built for the task of raising them. Many pokemon are overwhelmingly strong, to the point of some being able to literally shift tectonic plates. If someone was in the possession of something like that, they would need to have some physical strength, right? 

  If you can’t put on some roller skates and go through her gym, are you really capable of raising an incredibly powerful pokemon?

Always thought of Korrina and Viola(as well as all the gym leaders in Kalos, with the exception of Clemont) as adults 😔 That's just how I write them...Viola is 26, Korrina is 23. And then I always thought Alexa was like 30 or so.

      Korrina let out a snort and shook her head, suddenly starting to laugh for a little while. Her silence brought about naturally as she continued. 

      “ I thought it’d be a one time thing...Then it happened again, then the next, I could feel Lucario growing separate from me, but I wasn’t even upset. If anything I was overjoyed. When we battled the first time...Then at my gym...Then finally...I don’t know what we would have done if she refused, you know? I don’t think Lucario would have accepted it, not for a long while...But I knew that if I didn’t let him go, he wouldn’t have grown, he wouldn’t have succeeded or felt true in his life. I’m glad he went with Serena, I’m GLAD they both grew more. I’m glad. It makes me happy, and it gets my blood PUMPING every time I see them, every time I get to battle with them and see just how much they’ve grown. Gets me to grow too. It ain’t worth it if we’re stagnant, especially not as trainers. And you know...I’ve gotta set expectations? How am I supposed to be a gym leader if I myself stop growing? If Lucario and I just stay the same always? Nah. Never. We ain’t never gonna stop and I know Serena and Lucario won’t either. Let it be in battling literally...Or whatever she’s doing. I believe in her, her life, her journey. Wherever it takes her. I’m glad I met her, I’m glad Lucario found someone he could truly connect to. ”
