final video, so annoyed that i added the filters after watching it at the presentation and getting feedback from Andy. i think it was because it had become pretty boring to me after watching it so many times, but to someone seeing it for the first time it would have still been entertaining. too late now!

FINALLY!!

i have finished! i added some random effects throughout... i hope it doesn’t look just like crappy unskilled edits (which they kind of are but its hard to learn it all ok!). This has been a challenging but rewarding assignment, i’ve definitely learnt a lot both technically and also through how to approach assignments and make sure i stick with one idea! Although here i am the night before making changes because i’m doubting my work :( i definitely ended up approaching the assignment as Andy and Karen were recommending, by just experimenting with everything and finding new things to add/change as i go along and i never would have planned/thought my video would have turned out as it has!

i thought to make my video more interesting ill try and find some effects to add, i found this one that flips it vertically, so i might play around with a few different effects and see how it turns out!

after submitting my video i listened to it again and now i want to maybe get rid of the back track at the start thats a bit quieter than the rest, and i also realised i had one audio track with a noise in it on mute so have to export and upload it again!

all my final attempts that i uploaded to youtube. cutting out the part at the end has made a big difference and my video has definitely progressed and improved and now I’m finally happy with the result. now it’s time to name it properly, export it one more time and put it on youtube and on hard drive to submit.

took out the part at the bottom and muted it (just incase i wanted to use it again) but now i’m going to delete it and adjust the video so it ends on a good part of the gif.

added in the tiled effect and cut into different zooms to make the video more enjoyable, but after getting feedback from a couple of people i’ve decided to cut a chunk out towards the end so it doesn’t drag on, but i’m hoping it doesn’t look like i haven’t done as much work because it’ll be shorter...

seems impossible to find a program/effect to tile or make a grid of multiple gifs/clips but thank god i found this website where i can enter the image URL and screen record the tiled gif, i’m going to zoom in and out and take a few recordings to put together. i downloaded After Effects because they had a “motion tile” effect but it kept the size of the original gif and replicated it at that size so it was way too small (photo 2). i feel like this spiderman thing really goes with my audio so i’m glad i finally found something so random that actually works!

this was how it turned out... after watching it and thinking about how to improve it, i had an idea to tile the gif instead so its lots of little spidermen dancing so the quality is better, and maybe add a couple of videos of kanye dancing or close ups of his face in the tiles to make it funny

such bad quality but this was actually the best one and it offered to show it full screen on this website so i screen recorded it for over a minute and put it into my video and trimmed it. not sure if it’ll be boring for a minute watching it or if the quality is too bad :(

figured out the problem on my own, i needed to render in “sequence” instead of “clip” woops!

getting really frustrated because premiere wont render my clips, the first time i did it it was fine but anything i add now wont render :( going to have to look up tutorials.

went through my blog and saw my lolcat and dogmas posts and also animal mashups from a few weeks ago so thinking i might put pictures of animals throughout pretending that they’re making the kanye noises. then i somehow remembered the dancing spiderman gif that went around on tumblr where he can dance to any song and i watched the gif while playing my supercut and it looked really good so now i think ill just get a few random videos of kanye and animals dancing or something and use the spiderman gif as well

after talking with andy in class he said to find a new meaning to make from my audio which could be a video that is completely unrelated but somehow it just works. I’m having lots of trouble trying to find something and i have no idea what videos to look for! im going to look back through this blog and see if i get any inspiration from what we’ve done in class
