“my car is making a funny noise,” it was the first thing aarin blurted out when he was greeted by the familiar girl behind the counter. unsurprisingly, it did not come out the way he had hoped, and he back-pedalled. “i mean, more specifically, it’s clicking at me. kind of like a bomb? i’m a little worried it’s gonna explode but it’s lasted a week since it started so….” flustered, he stumbled over his words. punctuating his sentence with a vague shrug, he grimaced, “so… hopefully someone can help. so i don’t explode.”
“someone here can definitely help. won’t be me though, i don’t like going near things that sound like they might explode.” she gave him a smile, “leave it here, i’ll put your name at the top of the list and mark it as important -- couldn’t have you exploding, now could i?” she playfully teased, her smile morphing into a smirk. “i’m ‘bout to close up, i’ll give you a lift home.”
julian admittedly had a bit of a weak moment when he picked up chinese food after work, thinking it might make a good excuse to see violet, but hey, he’d just call it impulsiveness but none the less, he now found himself knocking on her door. even someone as restless as julian needed a chill night in and well it didn’t make it worse to spend said night with violet. when the door opened he smiled brightly and lifted the bag of food. “ i hope you’re not busy. ”
@violetstclair
violet had been doing what violet does best -- lounging. it was a sunday night and at this point, with her sweatpants on and hair in a bun, there was no way violet was leaving her apartment. the knock on her door was worrisome as socializing normally meant making plans, and plans were not in her future. she trudged to the door, adjusting the fallen hair pieces from her face. she opened the door only a crack, just wide enough for her to stick her head out and see who had bothered her. a smile instantly took over her scowl, “i’m never too busy for free take out.” she grabbed a wrist and pulled him into her apartment. “this is why you’re my favorite, julio.”
truthfully, josh was paying little attention to whatever violet was doing–sprawled on his back in her bed, he’d snatched a magazine and was flipping through it while he waited for her to finish getting ready. as somebody who did not much more than shower and throw on some clothes, the ability to understand why anyone would take so much time to do anything completely eluded him. “fat, no,” he said without looking and flipped another page. “slutty, yes. i thought that was the point, though. if your ass isn’t hanging out, you’re not doing it right.”
she knew josh’s attention wasn’t completely on her, and frankly she didn’t care, she knew he didn’t need to see the outfit to tell her she wasn’t fat. putting earrings in she walked over to where josh was laying, “slutty is just one of the many goals of this outfit. i want to radiate confidence, but not be arrogant. i want to seem pure but not prude, and i want to give off the sense that i know what i’m doing in bed without also hinting that nearly half the guys in town have seen whats under the hood.” she laid next to her friend, “and you my lovely friend, will be the best wingman ever tonight. won’t you?”
violet was enjoying her lunch when the bell to the shop door rang. her head popped up from behind the counter quickly, wiping any remaining food from around her mouth off. she quickly made it look like she was doing something worthwhile. “teller-morrow automotive shop,” she began, her brown eyes finally looking at the patron, she relaxed when she saw who it was. “oh, it’s just you.” she smiled. “what brings you in?”
she slipped the fabric over her legs and hips, securing the skirt high on her waist. “does this make me look fat?” it was the age old question and vi already knew the answer but she just needed to hear someone else say it. “or slutty? i don’t want to look too slutty, ya’know?”
I THINK I KNOW MORE ABOUT AMERICAN GIRL DOLLS THAN YOU DO GENIUS -- what up, the name is elle and i have dragged along my trash baby Violet. You can find info on her below, but all you gotta know is she will always make sure you know she’s right. even when she’s wrong.
violet is a princess in her own right. her castle wasn’t made of stone and she didn’t have a horse-drawn carriage, instead, she had a mechanics shop and motorcycles, but none the less, in her family’s eyes she was a princess.
her father was a co-founder of a local southern California biker gang, sons of anarchy, and though the gang was founded on illegal principles the gang operated as a family. everyone viewed and treated violet as the princess of that kingdom.
her mother and father were high school sweethearts and they were the kings and queens of the sons of anarchy. despite being in charge of a notorious gang and making money under the table, violet was her father’s world. his family was his main priority and he would do anything to make sure there was a roof over their heads and food on their table.
at the age of nine her father was set up by a rival gang and taken into custody. this rocked violets world and her mother and her were left with nothing. however, her father’s gang rallied and vowed to make sure the St. Clairs were always taken care of. despite not being allowed to take part in the gangs doings, violet and her mom were viewed as members and were always taken care of.
growing up violet was exposed to all sorts of things, both good and bad. she knew how to assemble guns before she could properly ride a bike, and she rode on a motorcycle instead of in a mini-van. but violet also learned about loyalty and family, she learned that the family nearest to you isn’t always your blood.
she doesn’t resent her father’s old habits, she knows he was set up and she doesn’t resent the other sons of anarchy for letting her dad get taken. instead, she uses her past as fuel for her future. she studied law at school so that when she has her degree she can act as a lawyer for the gang, to protect them from heinous charges. she knows they’re not violent to be violent. she knows that this is their lively hood and that they’re just protecting their families. she doesn’t want another little girl to go through what she did.
because of her upbringing violet has a strong sense of loyalty and family. if you cross them, you cross her and she will retaliate. she grew up with a lot of tough men, so she can hold her own and she has a wit and sense of sarcasm unlike anyone you’ve ever met.
the fact that her dad/family is part of the sons of anarchy is not very well known, so please don’t assume that your character knows this about her!
WANTED PLOTS!
- LIKE FATHER LIKE SON - this individual would be another gang members son, someone who grew up in the same environment as violet and someone she has known since childhood. this plot has the potential to have lots of little plots tied into it because the two of them would have a lot of history. they would know about her dad and they would know alllllll about her life. this person is potentially violet’s first crush/boy friend, first best friend, maybe they had a falling out? there is just so much potential here. (males only pls). [VACANT]
- THE OTHER HALF - this individual is violet’s current best friend and confidant. they know about her life story and her dad, but they might not know the whole story. this is someone violet trusts with her life and they have a very sibling-like relationship. [FILLED : JOSH]
- BITCHES BE TRIPPIN - like how everyone needs friends, everyone needs enemies or frenemies at least. these would be people who don’t get along with violet, or just pretend to get a long with her. we can plot out the specific reasons why they don’t like each other, but bottom line is....they don’t like each other. (open to everybody) [VACANT]
- FWB - i hate to be cliche but these plots are basically my life line. so im gonna want all those hookups....one night stands, consistent fwb, maybe one has unrequitted feelings?? idk, all i know is i want them. (open to all males) [VACANT]
NIC: i'm not being a prick, i'm just exhausted of this pointless fight and if you texted me just so you could be mean to me that's fine but don't mask it with bad sweatshirts excuses
VI: i learned from the best
VI: maybe if you would realize it isn't pointless then there wouldnt be a fight anymore
julian once again found himself at vi’s place, except this time the atmosphere was definitely different, and he felt a little awkward mostly because he was unsure. they hadn’t really talked much after the kiss but it had definitely been on his mind. she’d been on his mind. but now that she was in front of him he didn’t know what to say or if he should even bring it up? or maybe…repeat it. “ is that what you want? ” he questioned, “ it’s fine with me, but i’m paying. chivalry isn’t dead, you know. ” he told her, gravitating towards her on cue at her last words, it was just old habits die hard. “ i could, think of other things we could do but we might wanna save that for later. ”
though she admittedly had been thinking about their kiss, she didn’t know where julian stood and she didn’t want to make a move or say something and ruin yet another friendship. she saw the little step he took towards her, and she felt the corner of her lips pull into a smirk. “i’m not going to say no to food.” she rambled, “and i will never say no to free food. we can have whatever your heart desires.” perhaps there was a second meaning to her words. “and by later, do you mean like dessert? or...” she trailed off, taking a small step closer of her own, “you gonna have to tell me what you want you dufus, i’m not a mind reader.”
julian and her had crossed a line. exactly what line that was has yet to be determined, but something definitely had changed. not in a bad way either. she wasn’t sure what had happened or what it meant, it was one kiss - it was one hell of a kiss, it was a kiss she couldn’t stop thinking about. it was a kiss that led her to ask julian to come to hang out with her more than one time that week. so here she was with julian, still thinking about their kiss - her eyes always finding a way to steal glances at his lips, contemplating if one more kiss would hurt or help. “so,” she began, trying to steer the conversation. “do you wanna do something? maybe order some food? watch a movie? - or is there anything you wanna do?” she gave him a smile as she talked.
