Bretman Rock was born on 31st July 1998 in the Sanchez-Mira, Cagayan, Philippines, in an Ilocano family. Rock moved to Hawaii at the age of seven and played sports while growing up including baseball, soccer, cross-country, and volleyball. At Campbell High School, Rock was on the track team.

Rock began his social media career in 2011 by joining Twitter and launching his YouTube account. However, he just began making YouTube videos in 2015. Talia Joy, a fellow YouTuber who suffered through cancer, inspired him. He decided to start making films and began applying full-face makeup. Rock was first chastised for his looks, but this just served to encourage him.

Rock's main objective is to urge his audience to accept their uniqueness. He also started sharing videos on the famous app Vine. These little, 6-second movies perfectly captured Rock's sense of humor and endearing nature. He makes make-up lesson videos on YouTube, such as "How to Do Your Eyebrows" and "How to Contour." Rock presently has over 6 million Instagram followers and over a million YouTube subscribers.

Time magazine named him one of the 30 Most Influential Teens of 2017. In 2018, he was also included to Forbes' "30 Under 30 Asia – Media, Marketing, & Advertising" list.

In June 2019, Rock graced the cover of Gay Times during Pride Month. Rock attended his first New York Fashion Week in September 2019, when he teamed with stylist Andrew Gelwicks.

Rock played the role of "The Playboy" in the ten-episode fourth season of the YouTube Premium web series Escape the Night, released in July 2019. In December 2019, MTV announced that Rock would be the star of the next season of the YouTube show, No Filter.

Rock's beauty line, created in conjunction with Wet n Wild Cosmetics, will be released in early 2020. To promote the line, he held a press tour in Los Angeles in February 2020 with businesses such as Buzzfeed, Condé Nast, Hearst, and others.

Rock featured as a guest star on the third episode of James Charles' YouTube Originals series "Instant Influencer" on May 9, 2020. Rock will unveil his eyewear collection, primarily sunglasses, in November 2020 in conjunction with Dime Optics, a Los Angeles-based firm. He released six frames, four of which were only available at Dime Optics and two of which were only available at Revolve.

On May 14, 2021, Rock appeared with other online personalities in Bella Poarch's music video for her first track, "Build a Bitch." Rock was nominated for an MTV Movie and TV Award in the Breakthrough Social Star category in June 2021. On the day of the event, he was named as the winner.

Rock makes a surprise appearance in the music video for Sub Urban and Bella Poarch's song "INFERNO" in August 2021.. He also took part in a live webcast promoting the video.

Rock became the first openly homosexual guy to appear on the cover of Playboy magazine in October 2021.

Bretman Rock really entertained me. She thought me on how to do my makeup, she always gives us the smile and entertainment with her family. Also, the MTV show also displayed her vulnerable side. She told us that being unique is what makes us human and we should always value ourselves.

Greetings! My name is Sandra S. Valdez but people call me Sandy. I was born at January 15, 2005, I’m currently 17 years old. I’m from 11 Humanities and Social Sciences student from New Era University. I live with my family in Pasong Tamo, Quezon City. My mother’s name is Juliet S. Valdez, my father’s name is Robert J. Valdez and I have 1 older sister and 1 big brother.

Alright, let’s summarize my life as a student since from the beginning. I started school at nursery. I kept changing school because I always get bullied ever since I was just a kid. My life continued as time passes by. I started going into high school at HOSCOMCO 2017. Got into a school called Shining Hope Academy at 14 years old, met some cool friends. I changed school again until I stepped into New Era University. I am now at senior high school.

I am a child with a not so peaceful life. I had a depression and trauma throughout my life. I’m not like other main protagonists you see in the movie or anime, I was more like a side character. I was a failure, trying my best not to fail. I had a hard time trying to focus on the class. I didn’t make many friends like you guys. When life is supposed to be easy, myself, made it hard. I go home from school without learning anything even though I was sitting on the class all day, I was called annoying because I was just trying my best. And that my friend, created a new part in me…I started not liking people and kept pushing them away from me when it was me who pushes myself away.

I may be made my life hard but I got a hobby that helped my life quite easy. I got a thing for arts, it started when I was at 6th grade. We made a report for different eras of arts. It awakened inside me that arts were pretty. I challenged myself to draw every time I got time or I am bored. Since, COVID-19 pandemic attacked the world, I always drew different things that comes on my mind. I always practice because I wanted to at least, make myself proud when no one was.

All I ever wanted is to just live my life the way I want to, be a successful artist but they say you can’t earn money by just painting, so, I struggle everyday learning new things that I won’t be needing. All I ever wanted is to just live my life the way I want to. No arguing, no impatience, no enemy, no me but I can’t live like that without those things because that is life. It hurts me trying to live in a world where people are comfortable with. I just thank God for giving me the chances to try and live. My life wasn’t very interesting but I’m glad I was able to write my autobiography and you gave your time to read even though it was a short.

𝐼 𝐹𝑒𝓁𝓁 𝒾𝓃𝓉𝑜 𝒜 𝐵𝓁𝒶𝒸𝓀 𝐻𝑜𝓁𝑒

-Memoir-

It's always the case that the person with the brightest grin is the one with the most secrets. “Hey, we have a new schoolmate at 7th grade.” my classmate told me. “We should check him out.” We looked all over for him and then I saw him, exiting the 7th classroom. We looked at each other as if we knew each other before. And, something sparked inside me, I couldn’t tell it.

Months passed; we became friends. We told each other the things we had and also the things we had in common. We would look at each other, if he looks at me, I’ll look away. I always felt nervous around him.

Days passed, I told him that I liked him. He said he liked me too. We became mutual. It was fun, he was sweet to me. He would make corny jokes to me. He accepted me on who I am. He wasn’t like the others. I felt whole again.

February 28, 2020, prom came, we promised each other we would invite each other to dance. I exited my car at the front of the venue at Brewing point. I saw him, looking good as always. He saw me with his dad. Our face was flushed like a tomato. Hours passed, we danced with all our hearts and I got to dance with him all night, just him in my arms, felt like heaven. The food was really delicious there. We couldn’t forget that me and my classmates would make fun of each other’s food, how we talked about each other outfits. After the prom night, I chatted him, his father told him that I looked nice and thought I was right for him. It felt nice that someone finally accepted and approved of me but my parents were strict.

Quarantine came… we would always update each other in social medias. I get to play with him since we have no school. He taught me the game “Valorant”, which I loved a lot as I much as I love him.

He became a small streamer on Facebook which was fun watching him play the games he loves. I would sometimes join his stream. I met some of his internet friends, they were nice.

Our moments were fun but everything must have an ending. We broke apart at June 2020, it wasn’t all fairy tale, right?... Slowly bad things are getting closer to me when I pushed it away. I got into depression, the moments we had; traumatized me, I fell into a hole that I don’t see any light. I almost died but I was…I don’t know, I felt empty. I would wake up feeling tired, my mood changes drastically. I would cry every day, blaming myself it is my fault that we got into this situation, I couldn’t take it. I always saw him in my dreams, I always wanted to tell him I’m wrong but I don’t know what I did wrong. Music, actually, save my life, music gave me the hug that I needed. No one knew my situation but here I am telling to the world right now…

Finding out that he found someone already made me feel happy and sad at the same time. Just seeing his smile back is enough for me. Till now, it always makes my heart ache just hearing or reading his name anywhere.

“Would it be weird or funny if I saw my twin right now?” Amir asked to his friends while they are eating on a restaurant. “Uhm, it would be weird?” Jacob replied that is sitting next to him. “Come on, nothing is weird now when you are in college.” Nicole countered Jacob. “She’s right.” All of them laughed and enjoyed their food.

Days passed; Amir was running late to his class. He finally arrived to his seat with no professor in sight. “Wow, I’m glad no one caught me?” Amir smirked. “The professor will be arriving in a just minute but yeah it’s weird no one caught you.” Nicole looked at her watch.

The professor finally arrived at the class and the students greeted her with their wonderful smiles. “Okay students, we have a new classmate.” Said by the professor. Everyone was murmuring. “Oh, a student, now?” Jacob raised his eyebrow and scratched his head. “Please, enter the class new student.” The professor said while looking at the door. Everyone looked at the door, waiting for the new student to open the door. Everyone was waiting impatiently, voices of the students gossiping are getting quiet. The new student opened the door and he entered the class. A man whose eyes were blue and his skin that odd bright color that occurs when fair skin has been burned and weathered by the sun. He had no more expression than an egg. “Hello everyone, I’m Gael Cromwell from Thailand. Nice to meet you all.” Everyone looked at Amir and Gael, going back and forth, everyone’s eyes were stuck to these two students. Amir shouted “WHAT?!”

At lunch time, “I just don’t get it, why do I look exactly like Gael?!” Amir looked at his friends with confusion. “You probably jinxed it?” Jacob replied while Nicole is patting Amir’s shoulder. “Maybe you could approach him?” Jacob tried to talk while eating the apple. “Finally, you said something useful, Jacob.” while Nicole is raising her eyebrow. Jacob looked at Nicole “Uh, thanks?”. Amir couldn’t believe what happened, everyone couldn’t. “Fine, right now…I’ll do it.” Nicole and Jacob clapped excitedly.

Amir approached Gael to his table. A hand appeared at the corner top of Gael’s eyes while he was sketching. Gael took off his headset. Gael looked at Amir’s hand “Oh, may I help you? - “Gael’s words got cut off when he looked at Amir’s face. He thought this is his long-lost twin, he wasn’t sure though and kept the thoughts in his mind. “I’m Amir Collymore, same class as yours.” They both shook their hands. “Wait, you draw too?” Amir sat down in front of Gale. “Yeah, you could say that.” Gale replied. “That’s cool, me too.” Amir smiled.

Hours passed and they talked about a lot of arts and paintings. The bell rang, “Hey Gale, want to go with us outside? We will go eat at the benches.” Amir tapped Gale’s shoulder. “Sure.” Gale replied.

Nicole and Jacob went to buy food from the store, near from the benches. “So why are you so nice to me?” Gale asked to Amir. Amir looked at the sky “Well, first of all you look like me or like a twin and second of all, I’m nice to people when they are nice to me.” Gale looked at Amir “Yeah, me too.” Amir looked at Gale “Do you hate bullies?” Gale sighed. “Yeah and I always dislike how horrible the world is.” Amir smiled “We are twins, no doubt.” “No doubt.” Gale repeated.
