hi ik i usually just post art but i wanted to yap a bit cuz it's been on my mind but rdr fans and characters themselves talk a lot about how the gang was always taking from the rich and giving back to the needy and maybe I'm misremembering but i genuinely cannot think of a single real instance in rdr2 where they do that
which in of itself i think characterizes the gang and its downfall really well where many of its members were straight up manipulated by dutch in different ways, including believing in some sort of twisted morality behind what they do (when theres really nothing justifying their lifestyle)
like yeah they do take from the rich several times and i guess you can argue theyre giving back to the needy aka themselves LMAO but umm... u guys are just criminals i think <3
(this is putting aside the honorable actions arthur can make during the game because 1. thats virtually just the player's own choices 2. thats him as an individual committing good deeds. im more curious about when they talk about the gang as a whole doing it)
