Was this girl upset…? The girl wasn’t crying but her expression seems to show that she was upset with something, Ryuji could have ignored her but somehow he didn’t. He opened a pack of lollipop and the sweet smell came out and filled the air for a short moment. Ryuji walked over towards the girl and placed it in front of her.

How awkward was this for him? He didn’t know what kind of words to say to someone whose upset. He avoids eye contact from the girl and shake the packet of lollipop. “Have one…” He offered, still avoiding eye contact with her.

She felt like an awful sister.

Velvet had yet to locate her sister, who was probably out there somewhere hobbling along on crutches when Velvet could be carrying het, and it was upsetting. So far, despite the notion of being dead, Velvet honestly believed her sister was here as well.

But... so far, nothing.

Velvet had been out of it for a bit, having sat down and not moved for some time, only brought back by the shaking of a lollipop packet. She blinked, looking up at the person offering one and smiled a bit, taking a lollipop.

“Thanks,” she said, glancing at the candy now in her hand. “It... looks good.”

She waited for a moment before steeling her resolve and walking up to the unfamiliar face. “So!” She began, smiling warmly. “I'm Velvet. And I'm looking for a girl hobbling around on crutches. She's really cute.”

Was that a good enough description? “Oh, and she's got blonde hair, gold eyes and legs for days... though something's wrong with her legs... Seen her anywhere?”

The earth returned to normal, lowering itself back down with a little help from Velvet. She sighed, rubbing her head as she finished. That had been a close one. Velvet glanced back at the girl she'd come across, turning fully to face her.

“That was a close call, yeah? Are you hurt?” Velvet asked, concern in her voice. She stepped towards the girl before stopping and shaking her head. “Sorry. Force of habit.”

She hadn’t expected this to be different from her home in Black Snow, but there wasn’t any snow on the ground nor was her sister anywhere in sight. Velvet sighed, mumbling to herself as she ran a hand through her hair. The entire prospect of being somewhere that wasn’t eternal snow was just absurd.

But Velvet didn’t mind. It was warmer, which meant she didn’t have to worry about extra clothing layers. But she was stuck following a path she didn't know, following the strange feeling that she was supposed to find someone.

It worried her a bit. Was she trying to find her sister? Coming across an unfamiliar person, she tapped them on the shoulder once she approached.

“Hey, have you seen a girl with crutches around here? Blonde hair, gold eyes, looks cute like a button?”
