This is probably my top favorite moment of the second encounter. The way the scene had been building and building and how Mowgli’s willpower had been failing more and more. Then finally the slow reveal to Kaa’s eyes swirling faster then we, or Mowgli, had ever scene. Kaa singing with an undeniable grin on his face that he finally was getting his prize. We zoom in on Mowgli’s face  and his eyes instantly give in to the spirals. The look on his face could be interpreted as shock but I see it as more mindless relief and with a dash of euphoria. His mind had been screaming the entire encounter to succumb to the power and feeling the barrage of colors was much more of a pleasurable load off his mind than a shocking turn of events.

Can people please not treat Mario x Luigi as if it was any other ship, like Bowser x Peach, or Bowser x Luigi.

Mario x Luigi is WAY different than those ships, its incest. They are brothers. Atleast the other ships the parties are not related.

MarioCEST as is in the name is incest. And while it maybe "Theyre just fictional" to you, to others they're more than that. I know that sounds stupid and I know Im gonna get heat for this, or be told to stfu, stop being rude, whatever all that jazz but I feel like I need to speak up.

Mario and Luigi are important to you. I get it. They are important to me too. I love their relation as brothers and I love working on that.

But they are still fictional. They have no more agency than the crochet dolls of them I keep in my room. They don't have feelings. They don't get hurt from *anything* you might do to them.

People have written and drawn all kind of disturbing stuff about them. I mean, look at any youtube parody video. On 4chan. Pixiv. Deviantart. Twitter. There are porn movies about them.

And what did it change to your life? Nothing.

They're not only your blorbos. They don't belong to you. They're toys you're sharing with several thousand people across the world. You're not entitled to decide if someone is playing right with them, no more than someone is entitled to decide you are not allowed to create what you want about them.

A small ship doesn't "normalise" incest. Normalising is a social process that involves several years of people slowly coming to a consensus.

If a couple of incest fanart is enough to make you think ACTUAL incest is okay, your issues might go further than that.

Though, for the second one I can just imagine Mario and Luigi being so relieved and happy the other is okay once the battle is over and everyone is just 😬 but they decide not to tell the twins because what they don't know won't hurt them. They didn't know what they were doing, right? They were brainwashed. That wasn't them.

But imagine, that while the bros don't remember. Their bodies do. Now, the brothers are dealing with certain sensations when being physically affectionate as they always had been. Shivers and a type of warmth that wasn't there before. Traumatic experiences can manifest in the body via multiple symptoms, so why not a taboo relationship that was forgotten?
