BRIEF SYNOPSIS ON HOW I PORTRAY DERBEAR
Β i keep derekβs age in the later twenties to early thirtiesΒ (Β 28 - 34Β ). he can be reclusive, introverted, stubborn, judgmental, and above all, just an all around grump. he, however, is also very soft spoken, resourceful, level headed, courageous, and loyal. heβs been through a lot in his life and i like to write him out in the moreΒ dark & gloomyΒ atmosphere.
as far as canon goes. iβve always acknowledged teen wolf up until season three and from there i tend to deviate from the show. the most major of deviations in which in the end of season 4, upon being killed by a beserker, he doesnβt come back as a fully evolved werewolf, but as the reincarnation of the wolf god, Fenrir.
my derek keeps his interactions minimal and his emotions are very much guarded, only ever letting the cracks in his armor show when heβs with someone heβs comfortable with. he is still an alpha werewolf and i do not consider him a part of the mccall pack. his betas are still very much alive and he has a considerably close bond with them. he keeps peter at arms length and stiles is a soft spot for him, seeing as how he is his anchor.Β eventually he uses his family fortune to build a secluded, spacious cabin in Washington as an attempt for a new beginning. though much of his life has been in beacon hillsβ¦ there is just too much hurt and pain there for him to continue to stay. he passes the torch as protector to scott.Β
derek as a character is quiet intelligence and soft spoken words. callous, but gentle hands. reflective and critical with hidden rage in his blood. he is foggy atmospheres, dense forests and twilight skies. he can be your worst enemy fiercest protector or intimate companion ( platonically and/or romantically ). his bite is muchΒ worseΒ than his bark, but he loves and is devoted like no other.Β
