In Oklahoma, we stay in a small little town, with no police force, no fire station, or hospitals. It is just you and nature. It used to be a little more hoppin' back in the day though. If you were to drive around these winding, twisty, turny, stomach dropping back country roads, you'll find run down buildings of what was. There used to be a fire station which I believe was also half police station, and you'll see a lot of run down homes too. All of them slowly being reclaimed by nature. This picture though, is of the old abandoned general store they used to have in this town. Drove to Oklahoma yesterday. When we stopped for gas at one point, I noticed this lovely view behind the gas station. It's always nice to stop and admire nature in this busy tech filled world. #roadtrip #oklahoma #sunshine #lushtrees #happyday

Finally replanted my Fittonia! Typically I am the opposite of having a green thumb. To make my point even more clear, in high school I thought it would be cool and low maintenance to have a cactus. I killed it. I killed a cactus. Anyways, I have been miraculously keeping this Fittonia alive. It's been a pure joy, and I love being able to do this finally! Today, I decided to be in nature a little bit as I woke up today in a not so great mood. I think it was truly amazing how just spending 2 hours outside, observing and being in nature can completely change my mood. I saw a ton of Cedar Waxwing birds. Their yellow tipped tails are adorable. I also saw a ton of dragonflies and monarch butterflies too. I also found a hidden little area right by the water and charged some things in the river and spotted a couple of rocks to take home to remind me of my little adventure I took today! I started my morning with more runic studying! Yesterday I read about some of the history of the runes as a whole, strategies on how to learn the runes, crafting runes, and consecrating runes. Today I was able to get to the actual individual runes. I learn best with notecards/flashcards, so here I am! 3 down, 21 more to go! #runicstudy #runes #takinguptherunes #fehu #uruz #thurisaz

I have finally come to the conclusion that cell phone quality pictures will never do the moon justice. Believe it or not, that bright light was the moon outside my bedroom window last night and it was probably one of the best things to fall asleep to. #moon #dreams #waxingmoon

This past few years have been a whirlwind roller coaster. I've been on so many ups and downs since 2013. Mostly downs. It took me awhile to get past all of the things that happened. I was left with just a shell of who I was. I had no idea what to do with all of the things that happened and were happening. Everytime something came up I felt as though it was just pushing me deeper into this hole. The hole that I dug myself to hide in. I am and have always been a person who internalizes everything. Even as a child, I didn't want anyone helping me. This, I have realized, can sometimes be my biggest downfall. Then one day, almost a year ago now, the most loveliest thing happened to me, and I started on my own path to finding Wicca, Paganism, and Witchcraft. I have spent as much time researching and watching videos as I possible could. For the first time in years, I have found something that feels so right. This path I'm going down has rejuvenated me as a person. Things are becoming so much more clear now. I'm feeling lighter....Happier even. I am so excited to finally start practicing this spring season. I am so excited to set up my first altar and spiritual space. I am so excited to let myself learn more about myself and more about the world. I am just excited to really go down this road. And for the first time in years, I am excited to see what the future holds for me.
