I’m glad the Star Wars prequels are finally getting their due but it fills me with rage to see people make fun of the dialogue like it’s awkward and rough on purpose!!! The Star Wars prequels are a tragedy and that includes following the conventions of tragic dialogue in all their stuffy and dramatic glory. Anakin and Padme were a deeply repressed child soldier and child politician respectively they were not studying conversation 101 get it in your heads
I don’t think Henry would have dared roll Bunny over after his fall and risk tampering with the scene so that means Bunny was on his back after the fall, and at the very least he got to see the sky one last time before he died, even if it was through teary eyes. It might not have been the most beautiful that day, but it wasn’t the faces of the rest of them, and it wasn’t his hands bloody and grabbing at whatever he could as he tumbled down, it was just the sky he saw last. Something calming and vast and beautiful and human to look up to. That’s important to me. Richard said ‘overcast sky’. Do you think there was enough light peeking through the clouds for him to feel sunlight on his skin for one last, final time? I don’t know, I think I do.
The fact that people don't think friendship is enough to justify characters doing insane acts of love for each other baffles me. Like have you never loved your friend so so much you want to live in their ribcage. Have you never been really weird about a friend. 2 — I do like my given name!! I have always gone by Abbie, but my friends call me “Abbs” alot or when I do something bad they scream “ABBIGAIL” so I just have excepted it anyway. But people online are starting to call me Dash or Alastor. So I love all those names.
3 — I do not know if this necessarily counts as an artist, but I really always feel connected with musicals. My favorite musical is Hadestown, and it always makes me cry and understand and feel things. Maybe it is because I relate to the story, in a tragic way…or Jack Wolfe/Reeve Carney did a great job as Orpheus. But another one is, obviously, Hamilton. Because I see myself in Alexander Hamilton specifically when I feel strong. There is always a bug inside of my head that contains endless determination.
But, an actual artist would be TV Girl. I know many people just know them by Not Allowed, Cigarettes Out The Window, and the famous “Ykwtfm” “Aikwtl” ( @chickfilachickensanwichpickles 💙🩷) line, but I know them from other songs. Because I relate to all of them mostly. It’s tragic most of the time, but their music makes me feel seen. Like I am not the ONLY person feeling this way.
4 — I would have to say I like cats better. I have a dog, his name is Henry (YES; HE IS NAMED AFTER HENRY CREEL) He is 7 years old and he is Yorkshire Terrier Poodle Mix. He is the only dog I like. I have a total of two (2) dogs and four (4) cats which adds up to six (6) pets in total. I like the cats better, lets just say that.
5 — Ah, indoors, immediately. As an introvert, I am personally entitled to stay IN my bed, UNDER my blanket, AWAY from social interaction. I also fucking hate the sun because 1) it makes my hair MORE ginger/red than it already is and 2) It makes my eyes hurt…because I am an emo vampire (according to my parents)

7 — Yes, but also no. I don’t immediately love them. But if they show even a smidgen of mutual feeling, I get attached to them. I also am a very over affectionate person and have anxious attachment. But I have learned how to still have a good relationship to someone who is opposite to me.
8 — I am a cis-woman (a strong one, I might add) and my sexuality is all over the place. I am aroflux, meaning my sexuality does fluctuate. Right now, I am aromantic. But when I am Alloromantic, I am omnisexual (preferring men) and demisexual (meaning I have to get to know them intensely to feel a strong attraction). I also am butch, so we chillin.

First name is special bcs it belonged to a princess who was the first person mom saw being an activist and liked it so much she decided i'll have her name, middle name is derived from an Archangel, where i'm from it's tradition to give babies saintly middle names).

I finally figured I'm somewhere on the asexual spectrum. I still say I'm demisexual, but I'm more and more certain I'm not. I'm as asexual as it can be. No desire for it, almost sex repugnant, but not quite. Might have sex, but very slim chances and it gotta be someone I'm deeply connected to (holy oversharing, but it's the first time I have the courage to spill it out lol. thinking about theo hits harder when you're melancholic. there's this intense agony in me that i cant hold, so i bestow it upon a tragic character and watch him struggle through emotions thousands of times more painful than mine. then i watch as he finds solace (in liam) and comfort myself through his comfort, letting myself hope that one day i'll find a saving grace too. something that will make me want to fight again.
there’s sth, a potential there about how the Dread Doctors pick their victims, they’re all vulnerable kids. Teenagers who are struggling with mental health and are isolated from their peers in one way or another. They exploited that to their benefits to do all crazy shit to these teens without anyone finding out until it’s alr too late.
could’ve been interesting commentary, like in it, the stephen king novel, about how negligible everyone is in general. i mean, lydia’s mom initially would rather put her in eichen house (knowing how they treated Lydia’s grandmother) than face the truth
It’s actually really crushing that Henry was a comic fan bc discovering he had powers could have been such a fucking awesome thing for him!!! He’s young he’s like 8, 12, whatever, he loves comic characters, and he gets powers all of his own. Super fucking crushing for him to realize his dream come true is actually a fucking Nightmare because guess what. The symbiotically-driven Hive Mind Alien that bit him wasn’t the reject-of-his-species type. He wasn’t a sad wandering lonely loser of a soul who he could willingly pair with to go off and Save The World. No, Henry got Bitten by an “I’ll eat all your universe” big bad dom of an Eldritch being. He got bitten by the villain. Imagine how hard that fucking hit him. Crushing.
I've said it before but the way the people El loved the most, particularly Joyce and Jim, acted toward her kin, Henry and Kali, would have been the tipping force in El's decision to kill herself. Like all El did was absorb the messages that she was a monster and evil and that things would be better without her, even if she was told she was somehow exempt from that. Henry and Kali are still like her. The only people who are. And when her loved ones have nothing but hatred for them, El internalises it the whole time.
Jim made it uncomfortably clear he couldn't stand Kali and would have liked to kill her himself - in fact, her death was a result of his actions as he indeed knowingly and intentionally left her to die. (I would need a whole other post to really talk about the Jim and Kali shit though but like wow its so bad.)
Having Joyce step up to be the one to brutally hack Henry's head off with her boss bitch one liner, zero fucks given outside of venom and hate, didn't help either. All they did the whole time was show El how much they despised people like her an uncomfortable and unreal amount. How was she supposed to truly believe being who and what she was was actually ok to any of them? Its such a massive insult and disservice to literally all characters involved, particularly in the way they couldn't just play the bitter tragedy of it straight either. Theres no real heart or soul in it. Its framed awkwardly as a happy ending, as everyone finally healing and moving on. As El having done the right thing. Like, god. I hate it so bad.
