just saw someone comment under a videoclip of the sylvia rivera interview where she insists on the modern (circa 2001) pride movement being a capitalist smokescreen, a “straight gay” movement that worships the almighty dollar, that:

The way we live is so deeply inhumane to the most basic aspects of it. My physical therapists are horrorized about the way I do certain things because of how bad the postures/movements are for my back and joints but that's the way I've done it my whole life and no one said anything until the damage got in the way of me being able to work because sitting 8+ hours a day looking at a screen is the best case scenario for working class people and everyone is expected to be okay physically and mentally to do "at least" that in order to be seen as a person???? We literally need to blow everything up
