I have to say I enjoy how much Omar decided to release TMV's entire discography from the early 00s to right now via his solo albums, very cool.
For those not in the known: The Mars Volta's lead guitarist, Omar Rodríguez Lopez, has a solo discography comparable in release numbers to Miles Davis and that covers entire swaths of genres, from rock to electronica to pop to noise to ambient to avant garde who-knows-what. These solo releases also tend to have elements or whole songs that are reused in The Mars Volta's albums.
Some examples include the drumming sample at the start of Teflon being taken from Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fungi's A Story Teeth Rotted For, the Mood Swings synth bass reused in Omar's own track Horror, Rapid Fire Tollbooth from Se Dice Bisonte, No Búfalo being essentially an early version of Goliath, and as I learnt today, Civil War Chocolates from Gorilla Preacher Cartel being reused in Lucro Sucio as the title track. Bravo Omar!

I'll be honest, I wish I could say something good about this year's 4/13, but it was just another reminder that Homestuck as a property is dead. It's just gone; the wonder of watching the community build so much out of this dumb comic has been squashed by its own creator for the sake of controlling the fandom, and for what? So Hussie can take down down Makin's Discord because... it had Bad Vibes?
(If you have any evidence that it was anything other than just Bad Vibes and Makin and the mod team not bending to Hussie's will; that there was attempts to harass people, dox them, whatever, please do tell me about it with evidence, actual photographic evidence that this kind of stuff happened.)
And then what? Is he gonna stop there? If another fan group forms that Hussie doesn't like because it's Bad, or has Bad Vibes, or they Supposedly did Something Bad, are you all just gonna stand and watch him tear it down again, and again, and again, and again? Do you know why creators don't usually exist on their own fandoms? Because it invites the need to control what the fandom is doing with your thing, what it says about you and your thing, what the fandom believes from your thing. That invites the creator to begin controlling the fandom with an iron fist. And that's when it stops being a fandom, a chaotic thing that ebbs and flows without being wrangled, to a tired weave that will be stretched and stretched and stretched thin by its maker until it severs under the pressure and breaks apart.
The worst part is that the moderators of the official Homestuck Discord, you know, the people Hussie should trust in behaving like normal folk, admitted in public that they did report Makin's server. They admitted, by fact that they said they tried, that all Makin posted on his reddit post is true. They admitted that Hussie saw what they were doing, and he did nothing. And nobody cared. They just pushed their "no external drama" (how can it be external if you brought it in yourself?) rule even further, and called it a day. Gio is still a stalker, Makin is a transphobe, Sarah Z. was mean. Years of fandom history gone, all because someone is mean.
So, happy 4/13. I hope you enjoyed something out of it.
si vieron este sticker en la marcha, es mio 😌

for all my non-Argentinian, non-latinoamerican, non-spanish-speaking followers and visitors of my blog, i very politely and very humbly urge you all to take a moment of your day to read about the last military dictatorship in Argentina.
today, March 24th 2026, we commemorate 50 years since the coup that changed our history forever. Only 50 years. let that sink in.
Act III: This City Made Us was worth the wait and it's an excellent album by itself, however I do believe we are missing more tracks of it either to be showcased once the album officially comes out next month or to come out in a separate release
And I am sure there is more waiting for us since The Fight did not end up in Act III, and it very blatantly talks about Light in the past tense, which correlates with The Fate Of Thomas Light, and expands more in Roll's and Mega Man's state of being after Wily is defeated
I fucking knew it
I wanna say that yes, despite the fact that it likely would have been a mess due to the already tumultuous development it had, I am still pissed over the fact that the Perfect Dark reboot got canned after being shown just twice (once as a teaser, and then as a very heavily CGI'd "gameplay" trailer)
Perfect Dark still remains my favourite weirdo shooter just from how experimental it was with interactions with the environment and enemies and how missions could even have alternative options for objectives, and I could see from the way the "gameplay" of the reboot that it had that basically proto immersive sim philosophy in it
me angy, Xbox, how could you >:(
You know it's kind of amazing not having to use social media that much (I say, on a social media, while also using Discord, Another Social Media)
But, look, I no longer have 25/7 dooming about corporations and nature and shit, I just get the occasional hit of the US or somewhere else in the world being absolute clowns from a select few sources, and I get my news straight from their pages, and if I really care to post something on here I just do it without a care in the world, it's great
And I also learnt double entry bookkeeping and ISN'T IT FUCKING AMAZING???? And I don't need to use some bust ass program for it, it's so simple I could literally pop up my bookkeep on literal Windows Notepad or Nano on any PC and I just DO IT and ADD NEW ENTRIES and PERSONAL FINANCING IS AWESOME :DDDDDDD
And finally
the game awards lol

I find INTERLOPER's ending a complete underwhelming moment that basically ruins the interest of learning about actual intelligent beings made on the Source Engine and all the work that went into making them disappear completely through the umbrella men into a story about nostalgia and becoming obsessed over the past, something that was at best hinted a few couple of times before it became a thing on that ending
I mean, seriously, making every demo type 1 through 3 we have seen replays of Amori as a child? Seriously, is that the best way to do this shit? And the fact that DMNPCs and the Umbrella Man get pushed aside is also another massive disappointment for me
I would like to come back to life in this blog to say three things:
