@vivacious-vexation
we gotta get back to torrent distribution, i just watched someone eat eight grand in bandwidth charges because they ran a direct-download piracy site with local file hosting through cloudflare. torrents were invented literally for this exact reason
torrents work like this
i have a file or folder on my pc that i want to share with other people. let's call it gayshit.mp3
unfortunately gayshit.mp3 is 750mb and im not paying for discord nitro so i need another way to send it
i put it into qbittorrent and it makes a torrent file. this is essentially a very small file that points to gayshit.mp3 so other computers can find it. kinda like a treasure map
i send this tiny file to my friend, who loads it into qbittorrent. their computer takes a moment to find mine over the vast expanse of cyberspace and then (as long as my pc is running and the file is still where it should be), it gets copied from my hard drive to theirs
this is the cool part: if somebody else loads that tiny file, they can download it from both of us. if i'm offline but my friend is on, the third person can still get it. this also means that if two people have separate halves of the file, they can download the other half from each other. as long as some combination of people have the pieces between them, they can all have the whole thing.
crucially this does not require a server!!! you can just upload the file to a few people and as long as they keep it, it's still accessible. as long as somebody, somewhere is still connected, it's available forever. the only way it goes away is if everybody disconnects from it.
please learn to torrent

Season 3 Planning
In case anyone was curious how our planning meetings have been going for season 3 of the Magnus Protocol, @jonnywaistcoat and @rqbossman are professionals who never get side tracked.
Also posted to Tiktok bc I guess I’m doing that now: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNRCRNReY/
(Note: yes muntjac are omnivores not carnivores, Alex got caught up in the moment)
Okay, I may have gotten a smidge hyperbolic there. They are omnivores and may not deserve literal extinction but still...
Is that *sniff sniff* enemies to lovers I smell
you dont have to be a parent to understand the horror of walking into a room to discover that the baby crawled out of his crib and onto that pottery wheel you forgot to turn off, and while the baby is spinning around and around, the dog is sitting there all calm, like a person, gently using his paws to fashion the babys soft cartilage head into something a little more modern. it might be the classic tale of bad parenting, but lets see where the dog is going with this
Next episode,
Georgie, full gravity, hitting play on an old tape: Did the Archivist sound...like this?
Jon recording: --Statement begins. [INSERT HORRORS]
Sam: Oh my god
Sam: You guys know Chester?
Jayvik babies but they're creepy little hexcore amalgamations of their dna and whatever the arcane spit out They can have their little cabin in the woods and then all of a sudden creepy little kids made out of flesh, porcelain and wood chips show up
i’m going to burst into tears. such a hauntingly stupid and wonderful phrase to immortalize somewhere. LOOK AT PIttbert!
Just read a comment under a picture of a monster that read, "This doesn't frighten me. Rather, it makes me want to pet it."
I misread it as, "This doesn't frighten me, Father." and i think we should start using this phrase in response to things. I don't know what things, but I'm sure it would make sense somewhere.
I drew Vik.
If you think something looks weird, remember that I’m just a little guy, and also it is ridiculously difficult to find usable images from the show to use as reference points. The painting this is based on is under the break.
When you're running a military exercise, but gremlins keep swiping the army tokens!
