⭑ a prompt in which mattheo taking care of a very drunk celeste . ꒱
the loud thump of the bass echos through the large slytherin common room, sweaty bodies all throughout the confined spaces. low green lights filled the room, people chanting and jumping around amongst each other, red solo cups found everywhere. the slytherin quidditch team had just won a very big game and somehow mattheo, you, theo and pansy found yourselves at the common room party, per theo’s request— saying they needed to get “hype” and celebrate.
with your hand interlinked with mattheo’s large hand he spoke, “stay close, alright?” leaning down to whisper in your ear. that lasted about 5 minutes before pansy told the group you two were going to grab a drink real quick. next thing you know, your stumbling over to mattheo, hair a mess and falling into your eyes while you couldn’t stop giggling, almost spilling your half empty red solo cup filled with alcohol.
sipping out of his cup while chatting with theo in the corner, mattheo almost chokes on his drink, admiring the state you were in. you were supposed to be gone for just a second, but slowly turned into 30 minutes, and you’re completely drunk. you finally make your way to mattheo, flinging your arms around his neck.
“heyyy mattyy!!” you spoke, slurring your words before taking another sip of your drink.
mattheo tilts his head, giving you a knowing look while resting his hands on your waist. “hi lessie, how much did you drink?” you gave him a small shrug. “i— i don’t know.. me and pansy were just—“ you babbled, slurring your words before looking down into your cup. he nods knowing all he needed to hear, taking the cup from your hand and throwing it in the trash, earning a whine from you. he wrapped an arm around your waist while you wrap one around his shoulder, leaning into his body.
“well i think you’ve had enough, cmon girl.” mattheo spoke softly as you slightly stumble over your own feet, helping to keep you up fully. as he leads you towards the door, you stop in your tracks as small protests begin to leave your lips, earning a loud sigh from him. “we’re leaving now, don’t make this difficult.”
“wait! what about our friends, you’re just gonna leave ‘em?” you worried, tears starting to well up from eyes, emotions higher than normal. he groans, giving you a quick kiss on the cheek before leaning down to pick you up bridal style, arms wrapped around his neck, as you breathe in his scent. he smelt of green apple and a hint of something spicy you couldn’t quite put your tongue on.
“they can get back on their own, not you though, that’s for sure,” murmuring as he leads you towards the dorms. you make it back to your dorm as he places you on your bed. you huff, taking your shirt off and looking for the nearest one.
“you’re— you’re so mean to our own friends. especially theo, you guys are always bickering,” you babbled on, your drunken words taking over but mattheo catches it, letting a low chuckle out. “mhm, yeah i’m super mean, lessie. tell me bout’ it.” he jokes, throwing you your victoria secret pajama set.
the rest of the night was peaceful besides the sound of you rambling nonstop, talking about how you reek of alcohol but were too lazy to get into the shower or bath. “no more drinking for you in a long time girl,” mattheo laughs, finding you adorable despite how drunk you are. he tucks you into your bed before turning off the lights.
“goodnight baby, see you in the morning.” you mumble a goodnight before closing your eyes. he kisses you softly, walking out of your room, looking back at you to see you passed out asleep already. he smiled, admiring you before closing the door and heading back to his own dorm.
