The most frustrating part: if you decline to turn Milena, she is just turned into a vampire by some other Trueborn. It's also heavily implided her sire is Auberon, as in this version she is said to unite with her sire.

And, as we know nothing about any other Trueborns besides those five who were already mentioned (Sava, Alaric, Helios, his daughter, VF2 player character) , I have a theory that Auberon is actually Sava:

Sava has... some special ways to get what he wants.

So after VF2 release we learned these things:

— VFO main character is canonically male (or, at least, Helios uses pronounce “he”);

— According to Helios once more, just biting someone is not enough to turn them into a vampire, so obviously you need something else for this.

But Sava in VFO somehow manages to “take this curse by force”. So probably you need the blood of a vampire themself.

Thus, I make a strategic decision to consider this comic canon.

As a person with a BPD and bipolar disorder who also has a friend who is psychopath, I feel an unstoppable borderline RAGE when I see bullshit like that. And in my country even practicing psychologists often say this shit, like "HOW TO RECOGNIZE A NARCISSIST" or "10 SIGNS OF A PSYCHOPATH" or "HOW TO DATE/BE FRIENDS WITH A BORDERLINER" (usually the main advice is to stay away from a borderliner). And these are the people who are supposed to help. I detest that thing.

Jokes aside I saw a criticism of this book in the tags a while back of “That’s the worst you think someone could do with invisibility??” and giving a bunch of examples of all the horrors he Should have gotten up to to make it a proper Horror (tm) book

And I’m just. Okay maybe the point isn’t that this is the worst human in the world but a moderately shitty human who goes through more than even a shitty person should have to. Maybe he doesn’t do the Worst Imaginable Things because for most of the book he’s just trying to stay warm and fed and has a bad attitude.

Coming to any work with “okay who is the irredeemable inhuman monster here” is gonna result in sloppy analysis, whether it’s for The Invisible Man or Frankenstein.

I saw a comment about the movie (I guess it was Fear the Invisible Man? Not quite sure) and it was something like "Finally it was realistic, they showed an invisible guy who is peeping a woman, honestly every man would do that".

And I was like uh?.. Dude go read the goddamn book because you obviously didn't. Then look at the cover and see the name of the author. I'm pretty sure Herbert George Wells was a man himself. Secondly, go and have some nice walk with the naked ass in the winter and I would like to see what you would actually want to do in such circumstances. Maybe it's something wrong with you if that's the first thing you can imagine.

Also I hate Alan Moore interpretation for the very same reason. He just uses this theme as an easy way to show a complete monster. Despite the fact the only time in the whole book Griffin put any interest in women was when he met a girl he once knew and decided to talk to her. And found her boring. Literally.

I found my messages about reading a book with some drawing tutorials and there were some tips for the classic monsters — Dracula, Frankenstein's creature, werewolfes, etc. I made a joke back then that my skill is just good enough to draw Griffin. Already invisible, naked and hungry Griffin.
