There's some caveats to this:

This was done as an "outsider looking in", ie first impressions a stranger would have.

Mundy is polite to (most) strangers. He's much more honest to people he knows well. Even with strangers he can be very honest but it's a professional kind of honesty, not blunt. Jess is more bluntly honest but still polite cuz Ma raised her better.

Jess is 100% go all the time. Mundy is only 100% go maybe 20% of the time.

Mundy comes across as serious and Normal until you actually know him and realise he's a lunatic. Meanwhile everyone knows Jess is a lunatic, she's not fooling nobody out the gate.

Dunno if this has been asked before, but what are some specific pet peeves you have when it comes to Sniper drawings (and asking for Spotter too now that we're here, i don't see a lot about spotters out there and if I'm honest i don't know what to keep in mind if i want to draw Jean more seriously)

Not holding his rifle correctly

Shitty trigger discipline (only put your finger on the trigger when you're ready to take the shot, otherwise your finger stays AWAY from the trigger)

Closing one eye when shooting (off-eye should always stay open unless you're cross-dominant)

Poor rifle anatomy

Getting his body type wrong (usually just making him much too buff/muscly)

Having his eye be too close to the scope. Eye relief keeps you from getting black eyes! It should be about 10cm for his model and calibre (.308 to .30-06). Higher calibres like .375 or .458 (often used for African safari hunts) should have about 13cm to allow for the heavy recoil.

Adding the suture lines on his already-healed autopsy scars

As for spotters, idk. I rarely ever see spotters depicted in media at all (too many people seem to think combat snipers work alone??) so I don't really have any comments on them being depicted inaccurately. Usually the people that are doing enough research to depict a spotter will already know enough to know how to portray them accurately.

the "empathy fatigue" stuff is also very revealing because when you examine health professionals' self-reporting on the matter there is a specific type of person they describe losing empathy for- unsurprisingly, it's people with particularly chronic health issues and disability, drug users, people who "refuse to take care of themselves" and especially anyone with a health condition perceived to be "their own fault". very often what they describe as "empathy fatigue" is actually just the mask slipping on the seething contempt they already held

whats the difference betwen regular asks and abad asks?

During ABAD I have to answer all asks honestly with no snark and nothing gets deleted. So it's a once-a-month opportunity to ask me something legit and get a legitimate answer regardless of how fucking stupid or unusual the question is.
