vmxsunmi He likes quiet places sometimes despite the fact that he is loud most of the time, walks through crowded streets, goes into buzzing clubs and keeps that cycle a thing of his own. Calm and quiet are opposites to what he is or what he does on a daily basis. Most of the times, he doesn’t think it suits him but his head is kind of fuzzy and he might have drunk a little too much the night before and sleeping in on those days usually does more harm than good.
The chair he pulls after ordering his tea screeches a little against the marble floor, making whoever is sitting on the table next to his to give him a strange look. It’s quick and Ilhoon almost doesn’t notice. His head doesn’t hurt but he knows he wouldn’t be able to run his eyes through a newspaper or even focus on a TV screen for long. No TV means he needs to get himself entertained with something else and people usually come in handy at times like those.
He looks for the number in his contact list that has gotten so long that makes him think he needs to sort it out again. There are so many people he doesn’t even talk to anymore and some others who are not even around - some of them, actually gone as in dead. It was something he had grown strangely used to. He kept the numbers he could have - the ones that no one would care for if he was ever unlucky enough to be caught doing something he shouldn’t. He wouldn’t want to be the link they needed to those he cared for so he went through the trouble of memorizing the ones he couldn’t risk having recorded.
One finger swipes through the screen, selects the number and taps at the ‘call’ icon. The waitress comes over, places the large tea cup in front of him, tells him to enjoy and leaves while he waits to hear someone else’s voice. It comes after a long while and he wonders if she was busy or just wondering if she should pick up or not. “Took you a while noona. It’s too early to be busy.” He says, chuckling after. It’s 9 AM, he can see it on the clock hanging on the wall in front of him and he kind of expects her to ask him why he is up. He is never up before noon anyway.
“Did I wake you up?” He picks up his cup, takes a sip as he waits for her reply along with her curiosity over his morning endeavor. “Do you want to buy me lunch today?” It’s only 9AM, but he is pretty sure he can stuff himself if someone is willing to treat him.
She was a little too fond of her bed. At least that was what her mother told her every time she walked into her apartment without warning, with the intent of making sure she wasn't living in a dump. Although she shouldn't have worried, Sunmi wasn't a slob enough to let food expire in her fridge or her dishes pile up. She was much too picky about odors for that. Still, as she lay in bed, having been woken by the vacuum cleaner at full blast, she couldn't help but smile a bit. Mothers would be mothers. Rolling out of bed she headed for the living room where her mother was already picking up her things to go home. "Mom." she whined, clinging onto the woman, only to be smacked slightly on the arm. "You're house was a mess again, what kind of daughter did I raise. Your brother's apartment is cleaner." The complains had Sunmi sighing but she said no more, knowing that there was no way she'd ever win an argument against her mother. "Are you staying for breakfast?" The older woman, shook her head, dusting of her bag. "I have breakfast with my friends. Oh and your dad wants you to wire some money to him." With that, her mother was out of the door, leaving Sunmi to wave her off before she headed back to bed. After all, it was her day off.
Just as Sunmi was making herself comfortable once more, loud music was heard from under her covers, a sound that had her groaning but still searching underneath the comforter until her fingers found the device. A small smile spreading over her lips as she read the caller ID. It had been a long time since he had last called, to be honest she had secretly been worried about him. What was he up to ? Was he doing alright? "This kid." She sighed, sitting up in bed and swiping the screen in order to answer the call. "Yah ! I was trying to go back to sleep." Her complains lacking any sort of annoyance.
She snorted as she listened to his request, already pulling herself out of the bed. "You mean you called me to pay for your breakfast. Why am I not surprised?" Shaking her head she headed for the restroom, having already given up her plans for sleep. She could do that later. "Where do you want us to meet?"

Case 003 : vmxjinwoon : jinwoon x sunmi
Sunmi made her way across the crowded sidewalk, the crowd barely budging as she slipped through the gaps in an attempt to get to her destination faster. She was running late (not that being late was uncommon of her) and her friend would most likely get upset if she ever found out she’d missed the blind date that she and her boyfriend had set up. Not that she had asked for it, but complaining had been useless. Somehow, the pair had gotten it into their heads that she was lonely. Which was obviously not true, she had Hotaru for company.
When she finally reached the coffee shop she sighed in relief, hastily pushing the door open and almost tripping on her way in. “Damn it.” She complained, kneeling to pick up the phone she had dropped in her hasty entrance and slipping it into her purse. Sunmi was aware that this was the reason why people suggested that she shouldn't do things in a rush, but she brushed the idea off, confident that her method worked best. After all, things done hastily often seemed to leave her with good results. Maybe, if she was lucky enough, this date would be one of those ‘things’ that ended well-- not that she was expecting much, a good meal would be more than enough.
Gazing around the room she found several people starring at her, a situation that elicited nothing more than a sheepish grin from the girl before her attention was back on task. Her eyes locking on the only man who seemed to be there alone, and who was obviously expecting someone if the lack of drinks on his table were any indication. Without hesitation she made her way towards him, stopping in front of his table, and tilting her head to get a better look at him. “By any chance, are you Jinwoon ?”
Believe Me I’m Lying
Case 002 : vmxhyuna : hyuna x sunmi
Contacts were lifelines for inspectors. The little whispers that forcefully pushed you in the correct direction when a case seemed impossible. Their motives almost exclusively undisclosed. When she’d received that first note on her second official case, she’d been thrilled, but now that she was no longer an inspector, the little notes and summoning’s had become a burden. A little whisper that only she was allowed to hear.
Sunmi stared at the text on her phone as the taxi launched itself into the streets of Seoul. Her mind already preoccupied with what steps she was expected to take. Her fingers sliding against the screen until she’d found the number she needed. Sending a quick text to her immediate superior. He’d know what to do. She knew he wouldn't stop her, not when important information could be obtained, but he would send someone after her, just to make sure things didn't get out of hand.
She stepped out of the cab, handing the driver a few bills before making her way deeper into the street. Her eyes skimming over the numbers assigned to each establishment, trying to figure out which of those bars or clubs it would be this time. The more she walked, the less crowded the street, and realizing this made her feel on edge. Her thoughts involuntarily concentrating on what she could be doing at the moment. Like taking a long bath or eating on her couch with her legs on the table. Still she trudged on, her lip curving upward when she found the right bar only to find her attention ruptured by a familiar noise.
The sound of gunshot rang through Sunmi’s ears and she instinctively ducked behind a trashcan. Her eyes narrowing as she saw a woman running in her direction. “What the hell—”

You are sent to a location of a crime scene—a rather gruesome one, looking to be the work of stray Cottonmouth members. However, you have no proof of such thing, other than the grotesque beating to death the victim has received. You are to use your knowledge and skill to find out everything you can, gather enough information to put in a report claiming this was done by gang involvement. But be careful! You never know who could be watching, and you don’t want any nearby snakes to hear that you are accusing them of such. Do your best, and best of luck!
