a groan escaped her sleeping form . face smashed against the window , it seemed that newton had lucked out of the worst possible outcome of his predicament . however , this didn’t stop the all too familiar stench of vomit from reaching helen . she attempted to grimace , glass stopping her face from moving completely .
disgust was the mood of the day . and disgust was what kept her from sitting up and facing the problem at hand . hearing the rustling sounds of her companion waking did little to make her want to deal with anything .
‘ ‘ you’re cleaning that up . ‘ ‘
an unintelligible murmur was all the response he could muster -- the pounding in his head drowned out the sound of his thoughts as well as the rain pouring outside . newton squinted at the watch on his wrist . 5:34 A.M . he fell back in his seat with a groan .
newton was quiet for a moment , unable to keep his eyes open. the dim flickering of a lamppost outside & the stench of his own sick only made his head throb even more . he wanted nothing more than to just drift back to sleep .
“ just -- nghh ... jus’ lemme lay here for a sec ... ”
