Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: The Libertines Rating: Mature Warnings: Graphic Depictions Of Violence Relationships: Carl Barât/Pete Doherty Summary:
Yes children the deleriums and catawailings are giving in to well, Peter Doherty, whoever the fuck that may be.
pete doherty by mario testino (2006)
the thing about pete and carl is that if you’ve never been in a same sex more than a friendship but not a couple codependent soulmates situation you will NOT GET IT.
Not a shipper, but a one drunken handjob in 2006 truther
The Australian tour has been absolutely insane and it would take me a novel to recount it all - everyone was so lovely and welcoming to us and it was an absolute dream come true to spend as much time with them as we did - but one thing I must absolutely share with the class was Carl straight up laughing when I mentioned that Peter said Waterloo was about Sally. He actually sniggered and said “Did he write that??” And was like, lol no. He then to my face uttered the classic “I did used to sleep with a knife” and I asked, “So that line is about you?” And he said “well, yeah”. And finally the death blow, when I said the song doesn’t make sense from any other perspective as it has so many very specific references to the two of them he just kind of shrugged and said casually as anything, “It’s about me”.

OASIS — Knebworth 10 August 1996
“There will always be a part of myself that is a 16 year old boy who can’t really play the guitar properly, and there is this guy, a bit older, that my sister finds attractive… who knows how to play the guitar and who plays this song called “France”.”
