Why go for full carbon foil mounts?

At Voga Marine, we are deploying our unique aviation carbon foil housings on all of our wing foil, surf foil and downwind boards. A new state of the art to replace plastic US rails, a widely used standard which does the job but has structural flaws.

We therefore sought to provide a more precise, more incisive riding experience and to ease take-off and touch-and-go by increasing the overall stiffness of our boards.  

Our housings made directly from a block of machined high-density PVC contribute to the structural integrity of the board. Here, the PVC block does not constitute a simple reinforcement for plastic rails but constitutes the double US box itself.

This block is attached to a beam linked to the deck sandwich forming an extremely rigid IPN structure, which secures all the mechanical stress points of the board. The system is closed by a 6mm infused carbon plate made from Airbus fabrics, normally used to hold the wings of airliners. 

Your movements are thus transmitted to the foil without latency, the response is immediate, a significant advantage in carving, freestyle, racing and certainly in pumping.

Pourquoi des boîtiers US full carbone?

Chez Voga Marine, nous déployons nos boîtiers en carbone aviation inédits sur l’ensemble de nos planches de wing foil, surf foil et downwind. Un nouvel état-de-l’art pour remplacer les boîtiers US en plastique, un standard largement répandu qui fait le job mais présente des failles structurelles.

Nous avons donc cherché à apporter une expérience de pilotage plus précise, plus incisive, de favoriser le décollage et la touchette en augmentant la rigidité globale de nos planches.  

Nos boîtiers réalisés directement dans un bloc de PVC haute densité usiné contribuent à l’intégrité structurelle de la board. Ici, le bloc de PVC ne constitue pas un simple renfort pour des rails en plastique mais constitue le double boîtier lui-même.

Ce bloc vient se reprendre sur une poutre longitudinale liée au sandwich de pont formant une structure en IPN extrêmement rigide qui solidarise tous les points de contrainte mécanique de la planche. Le tout est fermé par une plaque de carbone infusée de 6 mm réalisée en tissus Airbus, normalement utilisé pour maintenir les ailes d’avions de ligne. 

Vos mouvements sont ainsi retransmis vers le foil sans latence, la réponse est immédiate, un avantage considérable aussi bien en carving, en freestyle, en race et certainement en pumping.
