watching Naruto now makes me realize how similar Etho and Kakashi actually are, and it makes it so absurd knowing Etho didn't watch Naruto and thus he didn't pick his skin because of Kakashi but because it was one of the most detailed skins (second layer) back in the day

As a lifelong One Piece enjoyer, I can say there's literally nothing more enjoyable than Zoro's "It's Luffy's world, I'm just living in it" attitude.

You notice it a lot in the anime of course, but especially reading the manga, I feel like there are so many times where Zoro's idiocy is only a genuine parallel of Luffy's to remain on the same page as him. Don't get me wrong, they're both dumb as hell - but the amount of times something Zoro's saying comes off as nothing more than a push in the right direction for Luffy to figure something out or simply Zoro playing dumb to be in complete and total agreeance with his beloved captain is insane.

It's always either "Hey Luffy, what do you think of this?" when it's time to get the guy to lock in, or "Yeah, that's just how it is." after hearing the way Luffy has already taken an adamant stance on something that may be objectively not true, but won't hurt anyone.

I am a big fan of same-braincell Zolu, but noticing and very possibly exaggerating every bit of Zoro's devotion means so much to me.

when i was a kid i decided that killing people was bad therefore war was bad therefore the military was evil. and adults would tell me it's more nuanced than that and i would understand when i grew up. well i'm a grown up now and idk i still think that killing people is bad and war is bad and the military is evil
