when the fic has 10k+ words, fluff, angst, smut right at the end, friends to lovers, character who’s down bad for reader, AND Y/N DOESNT ACT LIKE A CHILD
YOUR OC STORIES SHOULD NOT BE TAGGED X READER. OH MY GOD. NO ONES GONNA SHAME YOU FOR HAVING IT AS X OC. If the "reader" has a first name or physical descriptions ITS AN OC UNLESS ITS MADE FOR A SPECIFIC RACE OF PEOPLE. NO EXCEPTIONS BESIDES THAT. This should not be an issue, tag your fics right, PLEASE.
No one is complaining about OC fics existing, only the fact you guys are tagging them wrong and putting them in the x reader groups and hogging the space where it's hard to find a REAL X READER.
There was a Brazilian tourist in Indonesia, who was doing a trail on the volcano and she fell from 300m down. She stayed there for 4 DAYS without food, water and any warm clothing to protect her from the extreme cold that is up there. The Indonesia government lied to her family and told them they sent her food and water, they forged a video and sent to her family.
Juliana Marins slipped more and more each day she was there. It was said she was 650m down from where she was originally
Juliana disappeared on 06/20. Today (06/24), the rescue team managed to reach her, but unfortunately, she was found deceased.
There's just so many layers to this. So many questions. About how she fell, if the guide really did leave her there alone.
Juliana was so full of life, she didn't deserve any of this.
And by the way, most of the rescue team there, were VOLUNTARIES, they were risking their lives to help Juliana.
It was said that she was with a group of people, and the trail is much harder than it looks. Supposedly, Juliana got tired and the guides told her to rest and left her there. When no one came back, she panicked and slipped.
4 days with no food and water, and probably extremely cold at dawn. How could anyone survive this? They only sent helicopters today, and it was sent by noon, where the fog was too much and they couldn't reach her again.
Unfortunately, Juliana died there alone. Without knowing if anyone would be able to get to her.
Juliana died because the Indonesian government abandoned a tourist who fell on a trail and left her hungry, thirsty and cold for 4 days while it kept the trail open to tourists. There is no other possible description for what happened. The word "lack of preparation" does not apply here.
And the word "accident" is even less appropriate. An accident is a tourist tripping on a trail. Leaving this tourist to starve, thirsty and cold until she dies is pure cruelty. Juliana didn't die because of the fall. She died because of abandonment. She fell from a cliff, was seen alive by drones, but spent days waiting for a rescue that never came.
The worst of it all, is that BBC news showed a video of Juliana's dead body. That image is disturbing and you can't not be sick by it and think: she deserved better.
Idk if this will reach anyone, but I just wanted to vent. Such a tragedy should not be forgotten, seeing as Juliana wasn't the first to die there, and probably won't be the last. The Indonesian government was indeed negligent, and there's no forgetting that.
