covenant-5 -- though his husband is dead, akiko does not wish to truly part from him, thus, he cannibalizes the body into armor, absorbing what little is left of covenant-5′s light and buries the rest on the outskirts of the plaguelands. centuries later, synthetic-organic parts meld to akiko's own flesh, fusing with him and forming two limbs beneath his original set much like covenant-5
arm mutilation -- left and lower right arms are nearly decimated during a failed assassination mission against the house of kings; both arms are restored to complete functionality after several years, using a combination of synthetic flesh and relic iron.
eye loss -- left eye is blinded after being countersniped by a vandal sniper during the kings assassination mission
lotus staff creation -- both a weapon and a medical tool, the staff is a critical component to akiko’s arsenal as a combat medic and field surgeon. the body of the staff was created from a piece of the traveler, it would later be modified with small shards of willbreaker.
wing experiment -- parts of an old blueprint rediscovered in the dust palace are designed and implemented despite strong recommendation to not create the device. the experiment later fails: the wingspan halves on one limb and mangles the other as well as melding the glass and metal to akiko’s upper-middle back, rendering it a permanent fixture.
modification of no land beyond -- the legendary bolt-action sniper rifle is rediscovered and akiko modifies it to attach to his neural HUD and carry a paralytic poison, a temporary corrosive virus that will infect anything it touches.
ahamkara tail experiment -- participating in the great ahamkara hunt, akiko harvests some remains for himself, forcefully terminating the spirits that reside with selective suppression runes and coating it in various metals to peacefully make an appendage model he attaches to himself.
fusion of wings, tail, and spinal column -- several decades after his appendage experiments, the parts began fully fusing with his spine and nervous system, subjecting him to an agonizing redesign of his DNA and physical body over the course of fifteen years.
void / void-arc experiments -- akiko begins incorporating various forms of light into his medical studies, beginning with a deeper venture into the mysteries of the void as well as the arc. these experiments subsequently fail and result in amputating his lower left arm permanently as well as various light scars across his body, including the darkening of his sclerae. he will recreate these experiments shortly after the battle of twilight gap and succeed in his ventures, making him one of few void-based healers among the guardian ranks followed by the modification of his lotus staff with assistance from lord shaxx to accommodate these abilities.
