Do you ever think about how Lance’s bayard fits him really well? Like, you have to aim and stay cool, which reflects the fact that he’s a strategist. But you also have to trust your instincts and just shoot, especially in the middle of battle, which reflects the fact that he’s pretty impulsive.
The gun he uses requires some distance and a lot of stealth to work best, which I think is a good indicator of his insecurity. I know first-hand that when you’re insecure, a lot of the time you do your best work alone, when you have no one right there next to you or watching you. But his gun is also good at picking off as many targets as possible, which shows just how welcoming he is, how many people he’s willing to protect.
Many have said this already, but I will say it again. There are many types of guns, for a variety of situations. I hope his bayard is capable of turning into the type of gun he needs at any given moment. Not only would it be badass (like Lance), but it would also give us further visual proof for how adaptable he is.
His bayard just really showcases how he’s a bundle of contradictions that work really well together, and I love that.
