Can you do headcanons for what the paladins would do with their s/o on a day off from saving the universe please?
You know that facemask he was wearing at the beginning of Season 1 Episode 2? Guess what? Now youāre wearing it. And you have a towel on your head and heās getting out all his beauty care supplies. Youāre having a spa day. Have fun.
But seriously, the first thing the two of you do on your day off is probably have a spa day. Just probably sit down and relax, de-stress and everything. Saving the universe is stressful and for Lance, thereās no better way to relax than to do this.
Afterwards, the two of you probably head to the Altean pool and figure out how it works. There has to be a way to swim in it. (my theory is that you literally walk up the wall due to artificial gravity or something). Youāre gonna swim the rest of the day away with him.
Later on, before bed, the two of you might sit in the lounge or watch the stars from the window, maybe reminiscing about home and such.
Youāre gonna have to force this boy to relax. I doubt he knows what relaxing even is. He does idolize Shiro, after all, and we all know the leader doesnāt take breaks.
So after forcibly taking his sword and ordering him to ātake a goddamn breakā, heās finally going to listen. And the first thing you do is probably lay down in the lounge. Keith isnāt a fan of being still, but he can try to be. But you might want to bring something to keep his hands busy. After all, he is usually swinging at the practice robots.
I think a secret side to Keith is that heās pretty good at making crafts. Like, his hands are always moving, so why not make something with them? So if the castle has an arts and crafts place and you two happen to find itā¦ Keithās gonna commandeer it.
You and him probably end up making a statue out of Popsicle sticks that nearly reaches the ceiling before either Allura or Coran stop the two of you. For now.
I hate to be that person butā¦ youāre cooking at least a little bit today. Hunk likes to cook, bake, ect. Heād have to cook on his day off. It wouldnāt be a feast, but more like snacks and lunch for the two of you. Just stuff to munch on throughout the day.
Afterwards, the two of you would probably retreat to his lions bay to work on some machines. Not fixing anything up, but more like tinkering and figuring out how things work. While doing so, the two of you would also talk about things, ranging from 'how does the Balmera survive when itās literally a planet are you telling me it feeds off the Balmerans?ā to 'do Galra shed and if so do you think those ships have a designated shedding space? And what do you do with the fur? Do they knit them into fur sweaters for baby Galra who donāt have fur? Are Galra born with fur?ā
Itās a very strange conversation.
Also, be prepared for an impromptu dance party. This boy, he likes to dance. So he probably bribes Pidge into letting him borrow her laptop so you two can dance to any song she has. Maybe itās Disney. Maybe itās pop. Maybe itās EDM. Maybe itās not. Whatever song, he will dance. And you will have fun as you do so.
Her version of relaxing is working. Her version of working is working more. See a trend?
Youāre gonna have to literally pry her away from her work somehow, whether itās by stealing and hiding her laptop or just putting a lock on her work software for the day.
The two of you would spend a lot of the day just exploring the castle, following power lines to different less-traversed parts. Itād be an interesting walk between the two of you and besides, who knows what youād find?
After the walk, Pidge and you would probably steal all the pillows from the castle and make a pillow mound to relax in while you watch movies on her laptop. Because donāt tell me she doesnāt have a few things on there.
Donāt be surprised if either you or her fall asleep in that pillow mound. Those things are comfy.

Somehow you manage to convince him that one day off will, in fact, NOTĀ cause the universe to collapse into itself or allow the Galra to take over the rest of the known universe and please Shiro, for the love of god, take a break.
You two end up taking over the kitchen for about an hour or so to bake. Not in a grandiose style like Hunk, but more of a subdued baking. Like experimenting with things and seeing what tastes good together. Overall, the kitchenās messy, but the foodās good and youāre both smiling.
If cookingās not your thing, then the two of you could always curl up with a book or two and try to read Altean and whatever other languages the castle may have. You may not know whatās written in the book- heck, maybe you do- but hearing Shiro trying to read it out in ridiculous voices is probably very well worth it.
At the end of the day, the two of you probably just curl up in your room with the lights low and just talk. Nothing else, no hectic panic or wondering what tomorrow will bring. You just talk about everything and anything on your minds that normal days canāt allow. Be it hilarious or thought-inducing, you confide in each other. And it makes up for all the days that neither you nor him can relax.
