I finally managed to draw a full artwork with my favourite oc (this is a joke I don't have a favourite, they all rotate in my mind)

(Thea is a mage that ran away from mandatory work, she can control light and likes being flashy so big flashes are exactly her thing)

Today is as good of a day as any to say that I drew the beginning of my comic! This is it's cover! Here's the best summary I could write:

Marlene is a noblewoman whose life is controlled by her father. One day, she gets approached by Thea, who, despite freely giving out information, never mentions her true intentions. At first, Marlene treats her as a nuicance, but soon realizes that she can benefit from this acquaintance, maybe in more ways than one.

I don't think I'm getting these to look any more presentable than they currently do bc I have a lot of other stuff to do, so here are my few attempts to draw the second ever mlm ship that I've actually enjoyed a lot and Tomme and Amo manga redraws (these are all screenshots, sorry for the quality)

A quick drawing of Vlasa where I wanted to experiment a but and also draw her wrapping one of her way too long braids around her neck for no particular reason.

I mostly drew this bc I love this type of architecture. I heavily referenced my photo of a street in Veliko Tarnivo, the place even popped up when I googled the name of the city. Either way the characters are my ocs Elie (darker clothes) and Ora (lighter clothes). (Lore under the cut)

Elie is the princess's cousin (if anyone knows a gender neutral word for a nephew please tell me, it would make a lot more sense to say how they're related to the queen) who didn't want to be associated with the royal part of their family so much they got a scholarship and a job just not to use their money and not be obligated to participate in anything. Ora's dad still wanted the whole family dead though, including Elie, who seemed like the easiest target at that point. But somehow Ora just couldn't find an opportunity to kill them and in his attempts to find one befriended them. They did get along really well, however Elie still experienced the biggest betrayal of their life when he tried to shoot them, and got the ability to read minds along with trauma and paranoia, but I wanted to show Elie and Ora actually being friends before that happened in this drawing.

A bunch of outfits for my OCs, Elie and Vlasa. Elie's first two outfits are loosely based on Bulgarian traditional clothing while Vlasa's first outfit is based on what medieval Bulgarian nobility wore. The eyes on Elie's jeans were painted by their best friend who thought it would go well with their ability to read minds of everyone they see, the shoes they wear are a mix between jazz shoes and sneakers bc dancing. Vlasa has a headband as a stand-in for a crown and the yellow lines on her dress are supposed to resemble a crown as well, but like all the spikes are pointing inwards, do you get it??

I am cringe but I am free Context for the second pair is that Thea can control light and Marlene can disable magic. Also, when Thea says stuff like this, she's joking. When Marlene says stuff like this, she's dead serious. Aren't they perfect for each other (idk excusing a murder seems more important for compatibility) (also the answer is yes and no at the same time but let's not get into that in a silly haha post)

My 2025 art summary. Surprisingly, I only had to put in the things I drew for uni twice (April and December)

I did some gachiakuta manga redraws as studies/figuring out how to draw the characters in my style bc I want to draw fanart for it but I have to save creativity (and time) for designing 14 covers for uni so this is a compromise. The first two spreads are just random panels, then I started rereading the manga so the others are more chronological

More rambling under the cut

Tbh Rudo's face was the hardest for me to draw bc his eyes are so big... But I think I got it in the last ones. Drawing everyone else went surprisingly well smh, usually when I try to draw characters that are originally in anime-ish styles, they don't look like themselves at all, but that wasn't a problem at all (I think it's bc most of those styles ignore the existence of noses as much as possible and in my style, noses are the first thing people point out). I did struggle whenever there was emphasis on the mouth and some could look better but I tried my best. Oh and Tomme looks kinda funny in the corner in the last spread but I really wanted to draw her with open eyes, she's definitely my favourite among bg characters, idk who I like most among the more important ones but failures, obvious character flaws and just as obvious masks with some silliness sprinkled on top make characters more appealing to me so Zanka's chances are very high.

Also the poses are so good??? I rarely read manga (you could stop here) that focuses so much on the fights, so you know maybe all of them are like that, it's not enough to make me read anything either way but like. I don't have to explain anything you have eyes right? Gachiakuta lured me in with the themes but made me appreciate the action scenes.

I participated in @/penumbra_cosplays ' contest over on instagram where you had to draw a drawing featuring a look from her tma themed collection. I did make a tma sona just for this, might never draw her again but who knows, I have some (few) thoughts on what she'd do... Anyway I love how this drawing looks

A bunch of sketches of my favourite OC wlw I'm trying to draw a comic about

I figured out these designs and immediately drew them. First one is inspired by the song "Phobia" by Nothing But Thieves bc it fits Elie really well (and I've been listening to the band the whole summer). Some character lore and full-body outfits under the cut!

The very short version of the lore behind this drawing is that Elie, the princess' cousin, doesn't like the high society they are forced to participate in, especially the fakeness of it all, and after refusing to act according to social norms they were criticised way too much for what was, in reality, a teenager acting out. Being the center of attention so much only made them more agressive, to the point where they were starting physical fights. With time, people stopped approaching them, and fights stopped too. However, after being almost murdered and getting an ability to read minds the paranoia and stress combined with the thoughts of a certain rich man being really disgusting they couldn't help but attack him. There are more details and context but I think that is enough for now.

Now about Vlasa in the second drawing. She’s a princess (knyaginya, and with that aproach her parents are tsar and tsaritsa, admittedly more well-known words, but writing "knyaginya" is a bit inconvenientand probably not clear enough for English-speaking people). Because of that, since she was young she always felt the pressure to present a perfect image and succeed in everything she does. And she is good at it, has been for her whole life (15 years) which only made her standarts higher, so high that she believes it’s impossible for her to reach no matter how hard she tries, which of course means that she’s a failure that doesn’t deserve anything. She feels like the way people see her is different from who she is which, well, yeah, is true, she purposefully created that image, but doesn't mean that she thinks she’s a liar and a bad person like she thinks.
