qrow knows he might be a little clingy at time but when it's come down to being able to truly only trust a very few people -- and one of them being Roman Torchwick himself who he trusts with his damn life now, he's bound to... pull a few strings of his own. That's what he does here as Qrow reaches out to steal Roman's hat, pulling it away to slip it behind his back with the one hand while using his other to pull the ginger down to his level by grabbing his jacket collar just to kiss him ---

          HE MIGHT EVEN PLAY ALONG   —  -    tipping his head the slightest bit once qrow reaches for his hat .  he might even  GRIN  before lips connect ;  wide and crooked ,  entirely   WELCOMING   towards the attention .  a hand curls around one of qrow’s hips while the other raises to trace fingers  ‘cross  the high of his cheek .  it falls to his shoulder while the criminal bends entirely to match qrow’s stature . 

            there’s a  LAUGH   beneath his breath — -  one note that brushes against the other’s lips as roman kisses him again . his fingers uncurl from hip to hold qrow’s other cheek ,  trapping him here in the vicinity     (  LIGHT .  ALWAYS LATE .  ALWAYS AFRAID OF CHASING HIM OFF  )  .  roman rests their foreheads together . murmurs against lips .            ❛ so you think .❜   another kiss that lingers .  one pressed to the corner of qrow’s lower .  ❛  i‘m just entertaining the idea  — -  but let’s say i agree .  how many are you thinking ?❜

           To make sure that it’s literally only going to be himself without his weapon in hand, Qrow’s grabbing the hilt of it just to toss it onto the ground nearby. Of all the people he could ask for some help with this whole lack of ability, it was going to be Roman. he may be wanting to learn how the other moves as well but it’d help himself in the end as well.

             ‘ you’re already having too much fun knowing I can’t properly fight hand to hand, aren’t you. ‘ comes the replied dripping with sarcasm as he steps forward with a sigh, shoulders lessening the tension for a split second or two before clenching his hand into a fist – and takes his shot

         ONE SWING IS ALL IT TAKES .   qrow throws it wider than necessary ,  taking the initial edge off of the hit .  what would be a solid blow ,  if properly done ,  turns into a  FEEBLE  display .  one that roman can quickly step out of range of , turning back in just to grab qrow’s wrist .  he twists once , steps inward , in an attempt to knock him off of his balance .   roman releases him .  takes another half step back .            ❛ you’ve got a PRETTY GOOD  arm ,  even for poor standing . you’re too  wide  and far apart .  you’d be lucky to hit a brick wall . ❜    brunt honesty to start , but he means it .  they can fix this ;  roman can help . he takes a moment to nudge melodic cudgel further away from their space with the toe of his shoe .  

          ❛ now  — -  my  turn .  you’d better pay attention . ❜    fingers curl inward then outward .  once ,  twice ,  while he breathes .  in .  out .  he’s tense and coiled in preparation to spring  — -  which he does .  quick while entirely certain , one swing faster in comparison to qrow’s .  

           ❛ elbows in  and a straight shot to your goal .  use your arm like your wings , and it’s easy to redirect .  takes too long and you lose the oomph you started out with . make sense ? ❜    he shakes his hand out , giving a second for his words to sink in before the offer comes .

           there’s a pout that’s splayed itself across the huntsman’s expression, seemingly accepting that there was something wrong that he didn’t want to. Qrow literally had no idea how to properly fight hand to hand even if he wanted to prove he was a huntsman that was capable of fighting in any form – he’d be lying if he said he knew the proper form for hand to hand. So this has brought it down to him realizing just how much he needed help from another for learning what he wanted.

          ❛ so you decided that asking a criminal is your best bet . ❜     there’s irony behind the decision ,  laced somewhere between how he says it .  doesn’t mean that roman won’t get a kick out of it :  he does .  a grin spreads across his face and he tips his head .  

         roman knows enough about it  — -  living as he had for as long as he did ,  there wasn’t another option . it was  LIFE OR DEATH   if you couldn’t take care of yourself  ;  he picked up on that at a young age .  with years comes opportunity ,  opportunity leads to growth .  roman can teach qrow , sure ,  as long as the man is willing to learn the way a thug would fight .

            IT’S A WELCOMED FEELING ,  the weight leaning against him .  the solid pressure of being held ,  strong and unyielding .  a simple action  — -  roman leans into it entirely .  a hand covers one of qrow’s own . he smiles as fingers trace the outline of the other’s palm .  GENTLE .  AFFECTIONATE .
