for each item he subtly nudges back into place a different one will find itself in a new location soon after and the situation as a whole is quite amusing to him.  somehow even with the newfound  `  clutter  ´  her actions remain swift and precise, each measurement is somehow done to perfection even when the small cups are not being put to use.  part of him wishes he could visualize it   ▬▬   maybe in the past he would have been able to, but now  ...  the sudden scent of roses has him looking down and his own hand is brought up so he can gently grab her wrist to keep her from pulling away.   ❛❛  of course i do !  all the ones you've made so far have been great.  ❜❜   as if to prove his point he reaches over for a transparent coconut scented star, bright brown eyes meeting sharp golden ones when he looks up.   ❛❛  so far i think this one is my favorite.  ❜❜   (  even now without meaning to he finds himself drawn to the sky.  )

01  :  something  suchan  loves  and  hates  …  maybe  the  answer  will  change  in  the  future,  but  for  now  i  honestly  can't  think  of  anything  he  is  both  fine  with  and  isn't  fine  with  ?  he  has  things  he  likes  and  things  he  dislikes,  but  nothing  that  really  fits  into  both  categories.  hate  is  a  strong  word  for  him  too,  so  while  he  does  have  stuff  he  absolutely  hates  it's  all  very  far  on  one  side  of  the  spectrum  and  he  definitely  would  never  `  love  ´  it.

02  :  suchan's  drive  to  do  things  really  depends  on  what's  going  on  or  what  the  situation  is.  there  are  times  where  he's  very  ambitious  and  will  stop  at  nothing  to  achieve  his  goal,  but  there  are  also  times  where  he  feels  very  hopeless  and  would  or  does  just  give  up.

his  main  goal  is  just  to  be  a  good  person.  if  he  can  help  others  with  something  then  he's  satisfied.  he  doesn't  want  anyone  else  to  experience  the  same  things  he  did  [ or  is going through ],  so  he  tries  his  best  to  prevent  that  if  it's  possible  and  it's  a  goal  he  had  even  before  becoming  an  insect  human.  being  friends  with  others  who  might  not  have  anyone,  not  being  judgemental  about  someone's  past,  aiding  someone  if  they  need  it  to  make  their  life  a  bit  easier.  it  doesn't  have  to  be  anything  big,  he  just  wants  to  contribute  in  small  ways  to  those  around  him.  there's  enough  negativity  in  the  world  (  and  he  has  plenty  of  bouts  of  it  himself  )  so  he  would  rather  not  hurt  a  person  or  make  their  life  more  difficult  if  possible. even with his enemies he would rather help them than kill them, even if he's not entirely above murder if he needs to.

sorry if what i'm about to say makes me sound like a stick in the mud or something but please .

-- i know typos and things happen but please .. try not to misspell my muse/s names [or give them different names entirely that aren't nicknames (?)]. this isn't about anything in particular recently but it's happened before, multiple times, which is why i'm making a blanket statement and not dm'ing anyone 1x1. if it keeps happening i'll start dming 1x1 after this post, but it kind of feels :( .. i always have my muse name in their pinned if you can't remember it because i know me always saying just dh or sc or something might be confusing. i try to write around it because i sjfmxkdsdmfkxhsm dming someone and being like HEY you. spelled my chara's name wrong lol. makes me feel aggressive and nitpicky (even though i shouldn't but you know.) but maybe my passiveness is literally what keeps causing it to happen 😭.

i don't mean differences between do-hyun, do hyun, Do Hyun, Do-hyun, Do-Hyun, do-hyeon, dohyeon, Do-hyeon, Do-Hyeon (i'm not giving a grammar lesson / on the space usage because people can write that however they want, but his (/mine) preference is do-hyun or dohyun) ((suchan, su-chan, soochan, soo-chan, etc. his preference is suchan with no space or hyphen (((my preference is soochan but whatever))))) --- i mean like i.e. his last name is jang. not jeng, or chang, or jeong or something. hyun not hun, chan, not cheng.

and on a lesser note .. i'm not going to make a big deal about this either past this one post but .. he. only uses he/him pronouns. (all of my muses do.) it's fine if someone doesn't know him or is trying to be secretive like "my friend likes apples. they're also a demon" but i would appreciate if people didn't use they/them for him. (especially in their cases specifically given his body also holds someone/thing else and he doesn't want to be lumped in with that.)

thinking about how suchan isn't the entirely great guy everyone sees him as. and by that i mean surface level outsider view because people can know him and yeah he's very social and open about a lot of things… but he's also very closed off in a way.

he lies. very easily. he's been constantly and consistantly lying to people to hide his wings and he doesn't feel bad about it either. he even says he's worried about running out of excuses and nothing about actually feeling bad that he made his excuse up. he might feel a bit bad if it's someone he's closed to, but even then that won't stop him from doing it. lying in his eyes has become a 'survival' mechanism because as long as he doesn't tell people the truth they won't look at him differently.

he's not selfless either. he saves people yes, but that doesn't mean he has good thoughts while doing it, regardless of who he saves. during moth arc when he's drowning his thoughts are "i saved everyone but failed to survive. i really did not want to die like this." despite saving 2~ million people the first person he thinks of is himself and he's not happy with the outcome at all. of course no one 'wants' to die and especially in that way, but all he feels is bitterness and resentment. all those people lived except him. if he's not alive too then he has nothing to show for it. then in this arc "you don't deserve to live […]" however, i really don't want to dirty my hands right now. he wants to obliterate this guy, but he's letting him live. and heejin is right- why ? ji never said they had to keep the bad guys alive in fact he literally tells everyone to kill all the pet shop people. but he's doing it anyway. there's other examples like the bee kid and his attempted bargain with m*ehw* and his hesitation with mihee but it doesn't matter how good or bad a person is, he has such an extreme heroism mentality that he needs to save Everyone. Including Himself. he's not as selfless as people make him out to be or peceive him as he actually has a lot of jealousy in his mind but it's not shown outwardly as much because he has to protect everyone Even if he's not a "good guy".

i may or may not do a few random hcs throughout the days while i'm thinking of stuff but hmm i wanna talk about chan's nightmares.

chan has had nightmares ever since he first became an insect human. originally they were of him being captured by the government and tested on - they briefly faded near the end of his last year of high school but returned after the theater incident. they've never quite gone away since then.

his nightmares range from being killed by another insect human (beginning-midterm arc) to the terror attack on nest (and watching that one girl explode / prof ji almost get killed) to the time he fed (blackout arc) and now to mihui being taken by breeder.

they don't happen every night, but they do happen. it's not totally uncommon for him to wake up screaming over something that happened in his dream. he gets nervous to sleep around others because of this. still, he often feels more comfortable sleeping in the presence of someone he trusts. his nightmares are often worse when he's alone.

sometimes if time or the situation permits he'll sleep during the day instead. he's not really a huge fan of the dark because of the idea of monsters hiding in the shadows.

he takes sleep medicine because he has to, otherwise he would be too nervous to sleep at all.
